Half a billion to train 4 fighters is pretty pathetic though.

I'm watching a Trump campaign rally on cspan2. Holy fuck. I mean, really. Holy fuck. This shit is crazy. I'm not commenting on substance and say what you want about the guy, but this is remarkable. He's saying complete bullshit, but it's completely unlike the other bullshit. He's said he loves Hispanics like ten times. For the record: the guy terrifies me. Really. But this is crazy. Entertaining and crazy.

This has been a fifteen minute monologue about how he's beating all the other candidates, told by a guy who's not very good at saying much unless it's about himself. Again, not commenting on substance, but this is like when you meet a buddy at the bar who brings a friend you've never met and that friend won't shut the fuck up. I'm getting a headache.

As an Independent there is some good stuff in here that will impact my world.I take each candidate at face value until the propose policy.I think trump is a blow hard, but there is no denying his buisness savy. This country could use a little economic shot in the arm.

I'm biased against outrageous "tax plans" that have no basis in reality. There is already a 0% tax bracket. This plan will just increase the amount of people that pay $0. Aren't those the people that the conservatives are always complaining about? The 47% that are takers?

It's hilarious to me that a clown like Trump increases the number of people paying $0 (while decreasing his own taxes by a large %) and conservatives call it good...just fucking hilarious.
The top 10 percent of income earners paid 71% of all federal income taxes in 2010 and earned 45% of all income. The bottom 50% paid 2% of income taxes. (I pulled this from a quick Google search). It would be difficult to lower taxes on the bottom 50% when they already pay very little income tax.

Anyway, you need to understand that conservatives don't think we should all pay zero income tax, or that we should all pay at the same rate. A lot of people I talk with are perfectly fine paying taxes, but don't like to see the taxes wasted. Some taxpayers are paying federal rates of 39.6% plus some other tack on taxes to support Obamacare. So I don't think conservatives are upset a family making $25,000 isn't paying tax, they just don't want to pay 40% if a lot of it is being wasted on mismanagement (and now mostly interest payments on the federal debt).

disagree...revisit Romney's 47% comments and the outrage that followed.

YOU might agree with lower earnings paying nothing but the overall majority of your party does not.

And to top it off...most of those in your party are those same people paying next to nothing. That's the hilarious part.

That last part is very wrong. The majority are your "job creators" buisness people who pay a shit ton.as fox calls us
The problem I have with Conservatism is that the tax cuts always end up going to the very richest, leaving the true job creators (small/medium businesses, medical practices, contractors etc) to pay out the ass.

You including sales taxes? Fuel taxes. Taxes landlords add to monthly rent payment? All the taxes that get passed on to end consumers?
No, I said it was tough to lower income taxes. Are they supposed to pay no taxes?

This isn't me presenting proof that "most" of the GOP vote against their own self interests but it's a good example.

And not so much that....our taxes aren't based off of how much the government "needs". That's why we have huge deficits. The problem is that the GOP makes these cuts to taxes and the deficits rise and then they try to cut social programs.

it just kills me that California is taxed to the gill's and then the cost of living is so high that I can't believe people can afford to live here, housing is some of the highest in the nation along with basic utilities that alone is just friggin scary, if you leave California in any direction housing cost and utilities fall about 50% until you hit parts of the east coast area's. so the tax structure seems a little odd to me.
