I mean, it'd be nice to be Iran more than 1-0, but I get it, winning international soccer matches is hard, and they just cannot develop a striker. Anyway, great win, can't wait for Saturday!

Musah is an absolute beast. Dude was everywhere tonight.
I don't ever need to see Haji Wright or Shaq Moore in a US uniform again. Those 2 were completely worthless
Terrible...I did see there wasn't one MLS player in the starting 11 today. Pretty awesome
Ouch, I had no idea. That is a pretty strong statement about our professional league....not one player representing during the only game we won, so far?
Good that we made it through. Would be awesome to win another.... The Non-Flying Dutchman was my favorite player, years back. Generally rooted for the Netherlands.
I don't know much about the current Netherlands squad - obviously they are an international blue blood. They didn't exactly have to deal with a Group of Death (USA was in a group with Iran - maybe that term hits too close to home?) - Qatar, Ecuador & Senegal.

Just awful. He has been the best American soccer writer for a long time. He has also been very outspoken about Qatar hosting this world cup and just happens to die while in Qatar. Something doesn't seem right with this. This was his last story on his website....
This stuff with Reyna is wild. Sounds like he has a lot of growing up to do but at the same time it seems pretty crazy that Berhalter would tell him BEFORE the WC even started that he would barely be involved. How can you say that to one of your most talented players?? You don't know what's going to happen with injuries, red cards, etc... I really hope they bring in someone else for this next WC cycle.
It's a bad look for everyone. Why would you tell any player before the tournament starts that their role will be limited? Also, why would you later betray the locker room and tell this story? Even if you thought it was "off the record"?
I'm neutral on Berhalter but I think this will lead to him not being brought back. I don't know how you can expect any one on the squad to trust him again.
On the flip, Reyna obviously did not handle the situation well and has growing up to do but he's only 20

I'm just reading about it. This is so bizarre.
