Ugh. McKennie fractured his foot today in the champions league and will be out 8-12 weeks. He's going to miss the last round of WC qualifiers coming up. Just brutal.

Reyna has been injured forever but looks like he’s a definite no go too
Almost go time. Italy got embarrassed by North Macedonia today and is out of the World Cup for the 2nd straight time and now the door is slightly cracked for the US to get the 8th seeded draw.
It would take going 3-0 in this window and Portugal not qualifying or winning in PKs.
Just reading the scenarios of what can happen over this next week is making me nervous. Flashbacks to 2017. Not expecting anything tonight but a point sure would be a nice surprise!
Capacity was limited to 50k because of covid and sanctions against the Mexican Federation for all the fan behavior. Then there were apparently issues getting in to the stadium and a lot of fans waited outside until halftime.
These are probably the last meaningful WC qualifying games US will play. Auto qualifiers in 2026 as hosts and with the expanded field of 48 coming, CONCACAF qualifying will never be the same.
Miles Robinson tore his achilles. Just brutal for him and now he's going to miss the World Cup. Him and Zimmerman had made a really nice center back pairing. US does have some depth at center back but that's a huge blow.
That's a huge blow. Pretty big opportunity here for John Brooks to get back in form and make amends for whatever he did to piss off GGG
Yeah. It's clearly something personal with Berhalter when it comes to Brooks. There's no way you can say that Brooks isn't good enough to even make the roster for WC qualifiers.
Lol they convinced pepi to not play for Mexico then leave him off the squad
Unreal. No way he should have been left off. Same with Steffen. Turner is obviously the #1 GK but just having the experience of going to a WC for Steffen would be great. Instead he picks 33 year old Sean Johnson. Gregg just loves his MLS guys.

Born in the US to Nigerian parents, he was raised in England as has represented them at the international level since 2018.

I'm not convinced he wasn't trying to pass it back to Gio (who is a wizard by the way).
