i don't really care if it doesn't play here. no one would want to go and i can still buy it on dvd and watch it at home.

though they did play hype! in public here. that was cool, but that was also like.. 1996.

Yea but on the big screen with big screen sound would be fuckin A! cmon 'Pony. It'll be fun.

And on that note, did you see that one of EV's solo posters was of a sad fucking panda?? I forget which one, but I'm sure it was a direct nod to ya and our long suffering complaints that Ed forsook us, right?!?!

Is it too early to be getting excited about a 2012 NZ tour? At least I'm heading to Cornell in October, I've never been to the ASB theatre, the question is, will he play Seasons? yes he will. see ya there aye kids

Just googled it & it's listed on Hauraki's site:
    http://www.hauraki.co.nz/rock-news/pear ... m-festival
    No particular info though.

Ah & same article is on The Rock's site as well:
    http://www.therock.net.nz/Pearl-Jam-Twe ... fault.aspx

Hopefully one of them will give info about screenings soon!

Glen Hansard just supported Ed on his latest solo tour of the US & he's playing at PJ20. He absolutely goes off by the sounds of it + his music I've heard is very cool. I recommend checking him out. I picked up the soundtrack to the movie for cheap last week.

He's a musician, left school at age 13 & went busking coz it's all he wanted to do. Pretty easy to find his music & info about him.

Julia Deans should be the support for Chris Cornell, not Jimmy Christmas. JIMMY CHRISTMAS SUCKS ASS PEOPLE!!!!!

    Leave the ass people alone.

    Etc.

No but seriously. He's really fucking shit. Can't believe Chris Cornell would have approved that rubbish if he'd actually heard it.

I watched Once about 18 months ago. I didn't even know who Glen Hansard was until the other day!

I'm pretty damn pissed off about it. SERIOUSLY. Goooosh Jimmy Christmas sucks. Julia would be 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 million billion times better as a support act.

If you don't like the support act .. miss it ... get there late.. or go have a drink or a bite to eat or whatever until Cornell comes on. No-one is forcing you ..

I did that for the EV Newcastle show. I'd seen them already at the Brisbane show and decided I didn't like them enough to listen to them again. Are they still around? I read somewhere that EJ was going to be playing with Liam Finn again.

    Liam and EJ = 2getha 4eva

Yeah I'm just gonna not show up in time for his set. It's disappointing though that they'd choose someone so horrendously untalented when NZ has a plethora of amazing and far more appropriate acts to use. I sincerely doubt Chris has heard Jimmy Xmas or his incredibly fucking shit band Luger Boa. Unless Chris is a big fan of piles of shit.

I think we're at the first one in Auckland! Can't waaaait it's been a long time since I have seen a decent live act. I am now going to go and google Jimmy Xmas, although his feedback on here pretty much says it all, and I vaguely remember Luga Boa, isn't that the what now man's band?? therefore: will Thingy be on stage with Jimmy Xmas? That'd be pretty awesome

    The What Now man?

Props Boy used to be in a band called Canvas and then Autozamn, if that's who you're thinking of?

Luger Boa features one of the singers from the D4. Now he has no hair. Then he has the world's worst comb forward.

It's such a rare thing to love the support acts. Such a rare thing indeed. I remember Shudder to Think getting booed in Wellington. Heh. Weta played support for Soundgarden. Little did I know that one day they would become one of my favourite bands (I thought they were roadies tuning the guitars).

My best support act moment (Liam aside) was discovering the Phoenix Foundation as they outshone the fuck out of Evan Dando. Good times.

I missed them on purpose at the EV Sydney show too. Went around the corner for a bite to eat instead and bumped into Stuart and Sairs which was a nice surprise. :)
