I will say the band as a whole plays songs, like Severed Hand, much faster than they should. You are right though, Matt's drums in SG aren't the same as they are now in PJ. Not better or worse in my opinion, just different.

I think a good song to hear where Matt is better is listening to a live boot of Animal or Corduroy, where Jack's little fills would get him in trouble live, and could throw things off a bit. Plus on Animal, Jack would try to do too much with the song. It isn't about the drums on Animal, but at times he'd try and make it about the drums.

Edit: Just listened to Glorified G from 95 at soldier field, and I think the reason I don't like what Jack does is because he uses the bass drum alot more than Matt does and it feels like the song plods along.

I dont have any jack bootss, just that movie the band made.

Why are you not going to any shows this tour, you are going to be so upset when they play tons of YIELD.

Funny as I sit hear FAITHFULL rocking on my computer.

All of the dates close by fall during the week, and since I changed jobs six months ago, PTO is more limited than usual, and I have big plans for that.

And FUCK Cropduster. Leave shitty riot act songs like that to the Ed solo shows where they belong.

Your funny, it was braught up in comparison to YIELD and Jack.

I listened to PILATE this morning, that is another song that shows all the bands qualities.

    Well, that was blunt.

Anyway, I listened to Pilate from the Cardiff, Wales show in 2000, one of the first (and only) times they played it. So god damn funky, it'd be nice to hear that one live.

Just gave All Those Yesterdays a listen...is there any real reason this hasn't been played much? Not a terribly difficult song, I think it'd fit nicely in an encore.

And for listening to YIELD while on said deck, of course.

    Greetings, Brother RK.

    Of course. I can't believe I didn't type that.

Consider that a glaring typo that is work-related.

It's still nice to wander in here every now and then. It's like going back home for Christmas.

We can catch up on who's pissed off about who, hot ed pics, etc etc.

That being said, YIELD sounded incredible on the beach of Puerto Vallarta two weeks ago. The NLT was amazing with the waves coming in.

YIELD and the beach make quite the combo. Just add in a tasty lager and you're on your way.

No Natty for the Natty Light Trilogy, I had to substitute Miller Lite...but it was still a nice setting.

Nah...we did that later on in the week in the afternoon.

However, PBW cracked open a Blue Moon at 9:45am on one of the last days.

Did we ever had a 10 year anniversary for SVT back on November 24th?
I was at JKF airport that day, coming back home...

Freakin' sucks ass- I forgot about Yield's 10th anniversary because of the SuperBowl too.

Yield is the album that made me realize that this is my band! The one I would follow and love forever! I liked them plenty before this one, but this was the icing on the cake!
