Flip flops. I tell you what, I've had to run KT tape before (tibial tendinitis that time and for the same stupid reason) and the stuff is great. I don't know how long I am going to have to go taped, but it is the first time in days I have felt reasonable relief without eating Advil. YouTube has KT Tape instructional videos. I altered this one a lil. So far...🤞.

unfortunately, no gruesome injuries associated with this.....but my boss still said “MOTHERF**KER!” when her cart rolled away and ended up in the irrigation canal.

Soooo….about a week ago, I had a pain in my neck/shoulder area…I figured a pinched nerve or something…my BIL says, “hey, I got the “thumper” (percussion massager). You want to use it?” Sure. So, the thing goes 1-30. I’m hammering away at 30 for like a half hour. Now, I’m Quasimodo. A google search now tells me, DON’T use one of these on pulled muscles, strains or sprains. MOTHERF**CKER!

So kind of you to say that, Rob.  To be honest, I was feeling a bit wimpy and defeated this morning- at least until I learned that it's not unusual to have second day edema even more than what I had yesterday.  I was really achy and puffy and red, even under my right eye on the opposite side of the incision a little bit of a black eye look.  It's gotten a bit more under control as the day has progressed.
What I've learned about toughness had been a long journey.  As a kid, I was a total wimp-- bullied, knocked around, all that.  It took me a long time to understand that toughness is a state of mind and is also reflected in how one carries oneself.  People who pick on others, throw their weight around in aggressive manners, etc. might have a certain kind of brute toughness, but being caring, hanging in there through difficulties and that sort of thing- the very things that make you who you are, Rob-  that is a far better kind of toughness.  You have endured and are strong in your own right!

The edema is worse today.  I sent a photo to my doc to find out if I need to be concerned and go see him.  I won't post the photo here.  It's scary, lol.  Makes that other photo look damn good.
