Wait, I agree. Obama has been a better president overall than Bush.

Better at manipulation, and more effective in his expansion of the U.S. Empire.

So Yes, I do see him as a better president than Bush, and that also does not mean that I also don't see Obama as a bad president, a murdering bully expanding the empire into Africa, a place W. could hardly touch. A place that will yield many major conflicts, the seeds Obama has planted.

Obama 10000 'a times better than W period. The world is a fucked up place. Humans suck ass and any person you choose will have to make some decisions that suck either way. It's reality.

The decisions Obama has made both for domestic and foreign affairs have been 1000 times better than Cheney presidency and that of what would be if McCain or Romney where in the White House.

To somehow think Obama is same as Bush is ludicrous.
Obama's silence on what is happening in Gaza really says it all, shows where he stands. Shows who he is.

    1000 times better? Hardly.
Every president from JFK to Obama would of kept the same silence , you can't name one that would of denounced Israel's actions none .....
No modern president, correct, which is why I say, Obama is like them all. No better.
No matter who is President, there will be tough decisions and their decisions will most likely not gain 100% approval. Romney could be President now and may have made the same decisions. He probably would have kept the NSA going and the secrets would have been released, he may or may not have saved Bergdahl (spelling?) and either decision he would've been blasted for it (granted if we knew he was captured) and he may have suppported Israel more, which at this point would make him look bad due to the many Palestinian civilian deaths.

In conclusion, NO President is going to get 100% approval and do everything we all want. The President has to deal with situations that none of us could fully comprehend or be able to take, which is why Presidents age so fast due to stress.

Every President has done good things and bad things. Every President from this day forward will get more heat due to the rise in technology, weaponry, etc. They have more things they must keep in check. Bush and Obama are the first two Presidents of the 21st century and it's a new world, so of course they are listed as the worst Presidents of recent memory.

in my opinion Bush was a much better President although not a popular thing to say on the train it is still my opinion.

    Godfather.

You are far from alone in this.I agree with you
So you guys are ok with the 4,000 American lives that were lost do to a bunch of made up lies about WMD's i just wanna know ....Not even counting how many Iraqi lives were destroyed
Of course not(Can't speak for GF).But every president has a body count and questionable foreign interminglings.

I don't think everything either one has done is great or completely horrible
I'm sorry but i find it horrible that 4,000 lives were treated as extra baggage and just dismissing it as such is not something i look at lightly ...
Not dismissing,But add up the last six years and its still a pretty hefty number as well.Including today.

    thats just hilarious!

Instead you continue to vote in the same people you complain about. Hilarity ensues.
the hilarity ensues from 2 things.
    1. Thinking that a true libertarian could actually be elected higher than Senator.
    2. Thinking that a Libertarian would actually be better! Instead of selling their souls to the corporate masters they would simply give it away because it is their twisted ideaology to bow to the free market above all else.

If everyone that said a third party can't win actually voted for one, they'd win.

I prefer not to make excuses anymore of why I voted for the lesser of two evils, after all that is still voting for evil.

I'll look myself in the mirror knowing I did what I could to end the two party charade and that I didn't contribute to it.

change like that comes bottom up. local, then up to state level, and only then can national see any.
    takes a long time.
In the meantime, THAT candidate has to remain disciplined to their principles and not "sellout" because of political expediency.

I have to disagree, I always used to be for ending the electoral college but I'm no longer in favor of that.

First of all ending it would eliminate the importance of a state. What is good for Idaho might not be good for Illinois and vice versa. I'd want Idaho to be fairly represented in a general election.

Secondly I live in Illinois, our current governor won only three or four counties out of over a hundred this past election. He won. Population voting gives too much power to big cities, often very liberal ones like Chicago, that dictate how the rest of the state works. Chicago is a shithole that brings the rest of the state down and makes Illinois a laughingstock of the nation.

That requires dealing with the detainees. His idea, met with approval from a couple governors, was shot down by congress. Seems he's following the rules. Now isnt he?

    Godfather.

context GF. HW had what was liberating Kuwait. W had 9-11. Just something to take into account.

graph of HW's rating throughout his presidency
    http://www.ropercenter.uconn.edu/CFIDE/roper/presidential/webroot/presidential_rating_detail.cfm?allRate=True&presidentName=Bush (G.H.W.)

    here is W's
    http://www.ropercenter.uconn.edu/CFIDE/roper/presidential/webroot/presidential_rating_detail.cfm?allRate=True&presidentName=Bush
note the time periods for his highest ratings. Think it speaks volumes of the steady DECLINE in approval rating after the Invasion in 03
