So why this post is still here?
Why the fuck there are people here that deliberate on this topic?

But yet you're deliberating on this topic. You've been making an argument that some countries shouldn't exist due to their past crimes.
The person who started this thread did do because he supports Israel, and he wants to pretend that Israel is the victim - whilst it's currently engaged in it's latest round of massacring Palestinians by the hundreds - and to imply that the people calling for an end to the murder and the illegal occupation are actually racists who believe that Israel shouldn't exist.

But you're right. This thread shouldn't still be here, as the question is actually just fucking stupid, cynical, and provocative, as I've already demonstrated.

Oh look! An Israeli asks a loaded question, intending to legitimize the atrocities their country is committing...Then another Israeli jumps, having a fit and trying to control the dialogue without realizing the OP's M.O. Cute.

The question isn't 'do you support Israel's right to exist' - within it's 1967 borders...or if you support Palestine's right to exist within their 1967 borders....as our Israeli friend pointed out - any sane person feels both sides deserve the right to self determination, right? So we're asking the wrong question. The right question is WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN?
Israel has played this game for nearly 50 years. How's about we say at the 50 year mark, we allow the world's solution take hold (UN242), or Israel is slapped with sanctions, blockades, embargo's....maybe an international peace keeping force along the border, and to help remove the squatters from Palestinian land, whether Israel likes it or not? This bullshit charade has gone on far too long.

I'm liking this answer a lot. Well said, Drowned Out. Enough with the imperialistic stance. Drawn the line and make it stick.

I did what i did cause it was my point to clarify that there is no country on this planet with a history clean from violence.
    Including israel.
This topic is fucked up if its provocation or not.
    Its should not be here.
My point is that, this kind of deliberation has no place between us, human beings.

But if you enjoy it, from some other fucked up reason..
    I guess its your problem.

Sivan, with all due respect, it is not fair to propose that only the questions which you like be asked. This is not an attack. The question of the legitimacy of the State of Israel, as well as the question of the legitimacy of Israel's presence within Gaza and the West Bank, are premises upon which a litany of ethical discussions are based.

OP = original poster...as in, thread starter.

But first - Why are you so desperate to end this discussion? Good luck with the mods, as this does not break any of the posting guidelines. Seems funny to me that an Israeli would be so upset by this, when this very question is the one that Palestinians are always expected to address, without any definitions, or borders to reference, since Israel refuses to issue a map..

This is a fair statement and one that I think is at the crux of the whole issue.

Supporting Israel's right to exist has nothing to do with whether or not one condones the belligerent tactics it is currently employing.

So call me curious but why aren't more of you demanding from your elected officials, mostly the President that most of you support, that we end foreign aid?

If you stop and think and take partisan politics out of it you'd see that we prop one country up against another endlessly, we play puppet master with a country under each hand. We give this country jets to shoot the tanks that we gave another.

All of you can point fingers at Israel, the Palestinians, the Russians, Ukraine, etc. The fact of the matter is you should be pointing them at Washington DC.

If some of you weren't so stubborn about being good card carrying members of one party or another you might see that there's someone out there that wants us to stop playing matchmaker.

I have to agree with pointing the blame for sure. I heard a funny exchange between 2 of my friends yesterday on this subject. One said that," all Arab leaders are prostitutes" and the other friend fired back," ya and Israel is the pimps of the US and them." I laughed at that. This post u made reminded me of it lol.
  • As much as this is entertaining. I wonder when in let's say........20 to 40 years, the Arabs rise up and win the next world war. Then get offered back a piece of land that nobody can really say is theirs, make some homes on it and turf out the Jews as that is what the new world order had said will be. Would people like you express their right to say: "yes that is their new home and I don't have a beef with it."? As you surely know, as the world turns the lines on the map move. Sometimes for the sweeter pot for one people and sometimes for the shithouse for the others.

Why did the Jews leave in first place? Sick of the place? Not enough technology to make a dump in the desert habitable at the time?

i have no problem with humanitarian aid in terms of natural disaster, outbreaks of disease, abject poverty, humanitarian crisis, etc. but we should be nowhere near the business of arming one country against the other, or militarily interfering on other countries' affairs to further our own agenda. or in the case of israel/palestine, one country against an open air prison, which is in itself a humanitarian crisis.

i take it this was pointed at me. i criticize obama and democrats when i feel that they deserve it. i have slammed them for their position of being firmly up israel's ass.

as i have stated numerous times, i am with the pauls for their foreign policy of not getting involved, but i think their domestic and economic and poverty policies are terrible.
