I did not see any news agencies reporting about the above demonstrations in new york city and I live 30 miles away.
The "american" press are big pussies afraid to lose their jobs who "report" on behalf of Israel.

Same in England as far as I'm aware. Approx 100,000 protested in the streets of London the other day and it was completely ignored by the mainstream media.
There's a big demo in London tomorrow though. Shame I can't be there.0 -
It's telling isn't it? Amazing the power and control they have OVER America. All these so called "America, love it or leave it" folks can't see what's really going on. I mean, a massacre is happening and our leaders are thinking about vacation. Yup, congress, "for the people, by the people." For what people? The people of Israel?????rssesq said:I did not see any news agencies reporting about the above demonstrations in new york city and I live 30 miles away.

This is exactly whats wrong with US media..FOX news is like the WWF of the media world. Pure theatre for the single digit IQ viewers who dont think to look elsewhere for the truth. Sadly, far too many over there won't realise that as it's all their spoonfed

Powerful stuff eldarioneldarion75 said:0 -
for reasons other than the obvious, it important to remember the jewish lobby is deeply in the pockets of US politicians and parties on both sides of the aisle..even if they wanted to speak out against whats happenning theyd have to tow the party line or be outcast...has any elected official in the US said anything other than the usual 'Israel has a right to defend itself' BS? i doubt it0

It's my pleasure and my moral obligation to stand up, Brother.badbrains said:Wow, I just checked in and some of the stuff being said here by miss Israel is straight up appalling. She sounds just like her maniac leaders over there. Lies after lies being told and I'm gonna say something to all of you who have seen thru the lies, thru the smoke screens and deflections. BRAVO to all of you who are in here speaking up and posting links of facts and videos showing us in this community what the fuck is really happening. It's embarrassing we live in a world where people find it ok to kill women and children systematically.
I want to thank the people in here who are speaking up and screaming for this to stop. I dnt claim to be a great writer or anything. It's hard for me to put into words what my mind is thinking. Thank god I got people in here like the byrnzie's, the eldarion, the drowned outs, the gimmies and my Jewish friend Ben who have the ability to write great and post mostly things I'm thinking but have a hard time expressing especially with all this ANGER in me. and it's so fucken awesome to see NEW faces in here who are starting to see thru the lies and bullshit. Who are starting themselves to speak up! I applaud you for at least wanting to know what's going on. I'm sure there's a lot who are reading but not posting and that's awesome too. Dnt stop, continue to find the answers. The old people ruining this world, they're gonna be gone soon and it's gonna be up to us to change the world, to change the Ora of our earth. We have to, this can't continue to go on. Not anymore. Not in my name.
Let's find an end to this, and then find something further from home but equally important to dig our heels into together... If there's anything I've learnt from this experience, it's that we should not only feel a need to speak up for the things which affect our daily lives. I feel a personal shame and embarrassment at not having done so sooner. I can only speak for myself, however, as nationalism seems to have been added to the list of "silly causes for aggression" alongside religion.
And this I have to agree with as well. Like I've said here before - do I agree with the means and methodology of getting global attention? No. Do I UNDERSTAND them? 100%. Historically, look at vows of silence and hunger strikes - these are effective pacifist-approved ways to drive change.badbrains said:
You know what rG, I never thought of it like that. Great post. Now you've got me thinking again.rgambs said:badbrains, i am a total supporter of Palestine (not Hamas, but I understand that humans behave as animals when caged) but i think calling for Muslim solidarity is counter-productive. I understand your anger that your Muslim brother countries havnt stepped in, but have you considered the fallout if they did? Clearly there is an anti-muslim bent in the western world (america particularly) and i fear that support for israel would increase if the US media were able to spin this as a racial issue, the "brown jihadists" against the "white-ish Jews". It would be all too easy to paint Israel as the victim if the conflict involved another Arab state. What do you think Byrnzie?
The only solution to this terrible issue is total Palestinian pacifism. They would need to Allow themselves to be slaughtered and oppressed without raising a finger, praying for their aggressors the whole way. Of course that is easy for me to say, and it would mean terrible loss of life, but the world would take notice in a whole new way. I dont think i could do it, so i dont think its a real solution, but theoretically it is the only way that I see.
As my boy Shelley said, in The Masque of Anarchy
"...Look upon them as the slay
Till their rage has died away
Then they will return with shame
To the place from which they came,
And the blood thus shed will speak
In hot blushes on their cheek.
RISE LIKE LIONS AFTER SLUMBER
IN UNVANQUISHABLE NUMBER,
SHAKE YOUR CHAINS TO EARTH LIKE DEW
WHICH IN SLEEP HAD BEFALLEN YOU-
YE ARE MANY-- THEY ARE FEW!
idealistic and not based in reality, i know, but it is quite an ideal to reach for.
Do I think it's a disgusting and tragic shame that, of all people, the oppressed, should be asked to be the better people and fight with silence? Yes. Yes, I really, really do, and when the time comes, I hope their silent screams don't fall upon the deaf ears of the Israeli government and the world at large.

Gaza conflict: Israel rejects John Kerry peace plan
Breaking news Continue reading the main story
Mid-East crisis
Israel's security cabinet has rejected a Gaza ceasefire proposal put forward by US Secretary of State John Kerry, officials say.
Mr Kerry has been pushing for a halt to 18 days of fighting between Israel and Islamist group Hamas.
An Israeli official told Reuters that the cabinet wanted changes to the agreement before ending the offensive.
More than 800 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and 36 Israelis have died since the start of the conflict.
