Just another "responsible" gun owner somewhere in the equation.
I thought your “responsible” shtick was just for when people who like to portray themselves as law-abiding second-amendment lovers do something irresponsible with guns. Nice to see it extends to thugs that just walk up to and murder children.
How do “thugs” get their guns? “Responsible” gun owners maybe? Or do “thugs” forge steel and sideline in gun smithing?
What?
Rather than condemn the guy that killed the child, he’s condemning the fact that the source of where his gun came from might have been like an illegal gun sale, or something. It’s insane. A more sane person sees that article says something like “that’s awful” or “that child’s poor family” or something, ya know, “human.”
And yet your Original post did not exhibit or express any such sympathy. How “human” of you. Maybe start a “Gun Violence Sympathy Thread,” if you’re seeking sympathy for victims of gun violence?
I’ve seen the question “when will the minority community get their ‘house’ in order,” posted many times in various threads. When will “responsible” gun owners get their fucking house in order?
I was told In this thread by an NRA card carrying, at the time, “responsible” gun owner that all guns begin their life as legal guns and every legal gun sale is to a “responsible” gun owner. Do “responsible” gun owners play a role in the gun carnage and do they not bear some “responsibility?” Or does “responsibility” only apply to certain demographics of the population?
Cool story. Can I ask why do you think this story wasn’t reported on by any left leaning media outlets since that was another point the poster brought up?
I’d rather wait for your NY Post link to the explanation.

Because maybe it was just one of 32 gun deaths that day? Good to see the WSOCTV reported on it on 8/13 and the Washington Examiner on 8/12. Why the wait for expression of outrage, particularly in the Washington Examiner article that equates state sanctioned police killings with "thug" killings? No bias there, I'm sure. How long before the NY Post puts it on their front page?
And maybe because this happened on the same day? Maybe you should reach out to the left bubble news outlets and ask them?
At Least 1 Dead and 20 Wounded in Washington, D.C., Shooting

Care to answer my questions and continue the dialog or do you want to make this about me? Every post? There you go again. Be best!
I don’t buy any of the excuses you made for those news outlets. I’m sure if the child was black and the shooter was a white conservative it’d be plastered all over. Those stories are headlines when the trigger doesn’t even get pulled. So your reasoning is bullshit. It be nice to get one human response out of you. Seriously? Weird way to look at it.
It's only a weird way to look at it if you don't see the root issue here as being the massive excess of guns with no reasonable system to manage how they are produced, distributed and used - responsibly. The gun mismanagement issue leads to the gun crime issue.
Yea well I disagree. Only one person pulls the trigger. You want to make an excuse for the animal that murderers a child, go right ahead.
Making excuses? No, I’m just interested in ways to prevent the horrendous toll of gun violence in the US.

I answered your question with an honest answer but truly I don’t know, hence my suggestion to contact those news outlets. They all have a “contact us” email feature. Send an email and report back on the left bubble, seeing you’re expressing your sympathy for the victim.
Do you know the political affiliation of the alleged shooter? I didn’t see it in either of the two links. I’ll wait for your answer.

I don’t give a shit what his political affiliation was. It’s irrelevant to me. As is the color of skin on both victim and murderer. It’s not irrelevant to the media though. I think we can both agree on that. Right?

Because it’s the truth. And those are usually the only type of gun violence stories you post about.
I didn’t realize I posted the perps political affiliation or that they were embedded and reported upon in the articles I link to. Can you point me to one of my posts that contains the shooter’s political affiliation?
You know, gun violence is an everyday occurrence in 'Murica, so much so that "responsible" gun owners consider it the unfortunate cost of unfettered access to firearms. You know, its funny, but MADD got the alcohol beverage industry, the Restaurant Association and a whole slew of others to promote, advertise and put out public service announcements about drinking responsibly. Maybe you've heard or seen it, "Drink Responsibly?" I'm waiting for the gun industry, the NRA and "responsible" gun owners to demand that gun owners, "Buy, Train, Possess, Own, Shoot & Sell 'Responsibly'," but that's asking too much.

I read that story, it was in the Post (haha). I didn’t want to post it and start another battle of the tabloids discussion. I’m sure you’ve heard this plenty of times but you’re exhausting. I do respect your passion though. I can’t compete in that area so I’m respectfully bowing out of this.

Too bad the link just takes you to the NY Post home page and is not the article referenced in the link. I'm not surprised though. "experts-say-com," should have been the clue.

I did expect you to get the joke.
Bahahahahahaha. I liked your Sleepy Woke Joe joke of yesterday better.
I'm no NY Post fan, but kudos on that "Gun nuts" part of the headline.

Yea, too bad. Wonder how the parents of Sandy Hook are feeling? You know, being human and all. Mark Barden, father of Daniel Barden:
The shooter who murdered my sweet little Daniel took ten 30-round gun magazines with him into Sandy Hook Elementary. He deliberately left the smaller magazines at home.
It only took him approximately four minutes to shoot 154 bullets, killing 20 students and six educators. In the blink of an eye, Daniel was gone forever.
But as the shooter paused to reload between magazines, 11 children were able to escape. It’s hard not to wonder if Daniel might still be here had only smaller magazines been available that day.
Tell you what, those big brown short wearing packages delivering scary 60s truck driving cattle prod scanning open door motherfuckers better stay off my porch and oughtta my lane.

And maybe because this happened on the same day? Maybe you should reach out to the left bubble news outlets and ask them?
At Least 1 Dead and 20 Wounded in Washington, D.C., Shooting
An off-duty police officer was in critical condition after multiple people opened fire on what appeared to be a block party, the police said.
