    I gave a first listen to my Black LP copy of Ten after listening to nothing but the Redux version since the tan colored special edition came out. Subtle differences rule!

    I received Nirvana Bleach today that I pre-ordered a few weeks ago, it's release date is 15April...same day as Coke Ten.

    I wonder if people will start getting them today?

    Shipping emails were sent out on Tuesday from Newbury Comics on the Ten Coke Vinyl. Its Saturday. So it should be any day now. :)

    My Nirvana shipping notice came on Wednesday, and I got it today :)
    However I'm not very far from where these are being shipped. I wouldn't be surprised if some local folks have gotten a copy.

    Vinyl looked crooked to me just on site. But first side sounded great so I was relieved. Side 2 is unlistenable. Every track is flawed.

    Damn! And just last nigyt i was saying to someone how i was impressed by Newbury's offerings.... Now wondering if they have QC probs.

    Warping is really common with thin colored vinyl. I've heard entire pressings of some LPs have problems. This warping issue is disappointing for those who ordered one copy for themselves but if you bought multiple to flip then this will throw a spanner in the works. If this is a widespread problem then prices will surely plummet.

    Sounds like they're talking about The Stokes record. I've gotten a few Newbury exclusives and never had warping problems.. These pressings are done for Newbury Comics by various places (depends who the band/label is).

    Now if the package was sitting in the sun all day, THAT could be reason for warping....

    The color of the vinyl would have little to do with warping. The weight of vinyl on the other hand would. I wish they would standardize vinyl and only issue 180 plus.

    120 gram records can warp much easier than a 180...and that's a problem when you go thin. Third Man has had a problem with some of its split color vinyl warping.

    Is The Strokes album 120g? They don't even seem to specify on the website.

    Yah that makes no sense. Warped means the record has waves in it, so if its too high on one side, its going to be to low on the other, and if the waves get big enough it'll cause the needle to jump.

    Both sides would have to be warped though. If one side is warped, the flip side has to have the same warp but inverted. Maybe the poster meant something else.

    I do agree 120g is somewhat prone to warping. My Soundgarden Down on the Upside disc 1 is unplayable. Not sure how it got warped because it contains two records, and the 2nd disc isn't warped....

    I don't think color impacts warping, just thin vinyl.
