There's your phantom Utley injury...about a month too late.

another reason to hate the American League. loser relief pitchers can plunk a guy kicking their ass with no fear of retaliation. Hamels should hit A-Rod today...not necessarily in retaliation for Franco but just because A-Rod should get hit every game for being who and what he is.

there is no way this franchise can let Utley get to 500 at bats this year. He did have an ankle injury in spring training so not totally sure it's a phantom injury.

some wild storms last night. some of those clouds were wicked.

Still no power in Mount Laurel. So they plunked Franco last night? I wasn't able to watch.

yes. It was like the 1st at-bat I saw too. power was out for like 5 hours last night but came back on. Some lefty reliever plunked him in the hip and was clearly on purpose. He had hit a 3 run homer before that. Then he came up with the big hit in the 9th

never lost power at my place. although work told me not to come in yet since they don't have power.

didn't see any of the game but looks like on highlights that Cole was dialed into me and did plunk A-Rod in the 1st like I said above. good for him.

"Unfortunately, when the ball leaves your hand, you don't really have control over it as much as you'd like and there are times where things just don't get going," Hamels said.

That's Hamels on the defense behind him today. Didn't realize how good Franco was, glad I claimed him in fake baseball.

surprised at Sandberg resigning. I guess he just couldn't take this team anymore and knowing he was going to be let go at the end of the year.

Dom Brown is just awful. I can't believe some people actually complained he wasn't in the majors earlier this year. just no clue how to play the game.

Never been a reason for him not to be in the majors. He was the best prospect in the game and winning games doesn't matter

doesn't say much for scouting and services that list prospects that this guy was one considered a top prospect. he has very few major league level skills and zero major league level instincts for the game.

beat it, sandberg. this team is obviously horrific, and that's not his fault but he just appeared to be over matched. i'd be surprised if he gets another shot after going out like that.

Dude should have been traded when he was "untouchable". He could've be dealt for 2 solid young arms.

come on man, you would have had a coronary if they traded Brown then. you were giddy when he was playing well. revisionist history.

What? Part of the reason I wanted them to call him up was in the slim hope he played well so they can swap him out for whatever they can get. I told you that literally just a few pages ago.

And yeah I was excited about him a couple years ago and when he was first called up (like everyone else) but there's no sense in getting attached to any player or coach. Just like I'm giddy whenever Mr Hamels is on the mound, even now...but they need to trade him too, obviously.
