Holy crap, just read the Phillies had the worst road trip since 1883. That is a long time ago.
That was their first year of existence, if I'm not mistaken.
How do they let Franceour throw 50 pitches?
did you see Chase getting after McClure? 2nd guy to give McClure shit in the last week. he is not long for this team. he might be the 1st to go.
schedule is brutal coming up too. after O's is the Cardinals, then Yanks then maybe the Cubs? this team isn't winning many over the next week to 10 days i don't think either.

Can someone please tell me just what the hell the Phillies are doing with Dom Brown?
I get it. He's not lived up to the hype. Not even close. But what do they have to lose by putting him in the lineup every night? He's just wasting away at Lehigh. This team is garbage. Call him up. Play him every game. If he plays better than he has before--great! Maybe he can contribute going forward...or maybe some other team will take a flyer on him and you'll be done with him. If he sucks....so what? So fucking what. I don't understand this at all. Someone explain it to me.
he's hitting like .240 there with zero home runs an he doesn't exactly bust it all the time. does one good month he had in the major leagues earn him an every day position in the majors still? I think not. he needs to earn his position back.
I know the hipsters are off the bandwagon but still enjoyable to catch a game at the ballpark. was down there Friday night. was surprised how empty the lower level was. probably the smallest crowd I've seen there. at least it's easy to get a beer and in and out these days.
dude they are a terrible baseball team. they have absolutely nothing to lose by calling him back up and putting him out there every night. sink or swim, one final time. there is literally no upside to trotting francoeur out there but at least there is some, albeit very small, with brown. stupid to keep him in lehigh.
well he's hitting like .150 since being called up.

remember back when this team was good and a portion of the guys on here insisted it was easy to drive in runs? this team collectively is hitting like .219 with runners in scoring position. yup anyone can do it like some suggested it back in those days.
Going to be interesting to see what they end up doing with Nola if he has success at Lehigh Valley. Like Franco they might want to hold back to start his service time a bit later.
so where do we think Hamels ends up? I still think LA but the AL East being so tight do the Yanks or Red Sox get desperate enough to make the leap?
Ohhhhh boy. No player in baseball would have big RBI numbers on this Phillies team.
Yankees aren't trading for him. They need a couple bullpen arms. Boston is terrible and need a whole lot more than Hamels, which is awesome. Dodgers seem like they make the most sense but do they even need him? From a baseball standpoint, the Tigers probably make the most sense.
fucking d**gers will go hard after him because they have money coming out of their asses.
no great plan...just money.

wow, 7-28 this year least they are doing somewhat better at home, almost .500
Morgan pitched pretty well today and Franco continues to tear it up, so that a positive, right?

ball jumps off his bat. could he be the Phils representative at the All-Star game or do they go with Hamels? Franco and Crawford look like a nice short-third combo hopefully for the next decade.
and watching just a few innings of Phils at Yanks just reminds me how brutal watching american league baseball is. 3.5 game last night. i guess those speed up rules haven't reached the Bronx yet.

Or terrible pitching and 32 hits. Yankees games while probably significantly longer than the slop down here are significantly shorter this year.
