chase has played in 25 games this year and has a hit in 7 of them. watching him this year reminds me of schmidt's last days in uniform....

i can handle bad phillies teams. but the fact that this one is so dreadful, yet it's still constituted of a lot of the guys who brought us our only title in 30 years just makes it all the more sad---then you throw on tom mccarthy describing each and every play and it makes you want to vomit even more.

when you look at the offensive numbers it's kind of hard to believe they have as many wins as they do. Bullpen has been pretty good though.

heading down Friday night and I believe getting Hamels vs. Harvey. beautiful spring weather at the ballpark even with a shitty team should be enjoyable.

how can you not like tom mccarthy? he caught a homerun ball last season :lol:

How is Chase Utley leading the team in RBI's???? :confounded:

With the exception of Harrang, Asche, galvis, and a few relievers yeah this team i can barely watch. Least they don't have the worst record in baseball (yet).

it's absolutely crazy to think Chase Utley is hitting under .100 on May 8th. I mean this guy had the best most natural swing of any Phillie i've ever seen when he came up. is this it for Chase? does he stay with it or if he continues to struggle pull a Schmidt and just call it quits? Hard to believe Harry.

and that Lenny-Mitch video is pure comedy gold. only thing better would have been if they actual came to blows.

saw that. shame what happened to that place. used to be a pretty good mall back in the day. would be pretty cool to have it filmed there but do we really need Mallrats 2 twenty years after the original? and with malls and retail in general a dying breed?

The barrell of the bat. This wasn't in the video. Just something he said recently leading up to this event.

Those trains from at least port Richmond in don't go more than 30 or so. I don't get it at all.

just horrible. the one car is just obliterated. and didn't the same thing happen up in ny-ct last year where the guy was going to fast to make a turn? 106 in a 50. unless it's mechanical failure that conductor is fucked.

I don't know a single person survived that front car.

Yeah, the metro north. That is at least a bit explainable as he was going that fast and supposedly fell asleep. There is no excuse for this guy going that fast that close to the city. Not like he can use the excuse that he had it cruising and fell asleep.

    Horrible situation

I know someone who works for Amtrack and drove a train an hour before that on the same tracks. He said that train was going 88 in and 80 mph zone and then floored it a 1/4 mile before the 50 mph turn.

well other than the fact that he played something like 30 games last year (i kid i kid)

Harang has been really good. got to think a team in the race will be interested in him too.

and yea Papelbon is a giant douche but he has been pretty effective since he got here. and Jose Mesa wouldn't have been in my top 5 or 6 guesses on who led the Phils in saves if asked this question before the season.
