Fun game.  Loud as hell.  Not a huge fan of having to wait in long lines to whiz, but it was a good time.

I never win shit like this so I am stoked. Would've thought they'd have more tickets available though.

My wife got an email last night and the subject line was pretty cruel. Made her think she won too. lol

Haha I got one, too. It's like a rejection letter when applying for a job.

I mean there's ~135k tickets over the 3 games, and then they offered up to season ticket holders, others that bought group tix, etc etc all the way down the line. To still have 20k per game still available for the public sale is pretty good. Then when you see that merch sales are breaking records I can totally believe 1M registered.

LOL. Been wearing the same hat & shirt for each game of the postseason as well.

I know it may be strange for an Astros fan to post in this thread, but at least y'all are talking about the WS! I think it's going at least 6 games & should be a (stress-filled) blast to watch.

Congrats on getting tickets, Juggler. I am very tempted to fly home on Saturday morning and pay stupid prices for game 2!

I don't know man, I know Twitter shouldn't be a barometer for anything but there's certainly a close obnoxious level of Stros fans:Phils fans. And we're terrible people!

With that said - you're welcome in here, but not gonna lie it may get terrible!

Here's my only attempt at actual/sorta baseball analysis with this stuff: there's only been two teams all season that I thought without question had zero flaws, were absolute beasts, are absolutely legit, etc etc - the Dodgers and the Stros. Top-to-bottom there is/was no weaknesses on either of those teams. Now imo what helped SD to beat LA was 1) a short series 2) a really good bullpen to counteract LA. Now, I think a 7 game series changes all that.

But with that said, everything about this Philly team has been completely batshit bonkers irrational, and I wouldn't be concerned if they were playing the '27 Yankees.

No doubt that there a lot of shitty Astros fans - I know quite a few of them! Ha! I also stay far away from Twitter - I have enough noise in my life!

I have pretty thick skin, so it's all good.

Philly has been playing out of their minds, no doubt & it's been fun as hell to watch. Houston has no reason to be cocky at all when facing y'all.

If they don't walk Harper every time someone is on base they are crazy. I'd say Castellanos is the key - if he keeps hitting like he's been, Astros win easily.

Yeah I think they have to switch up the lineup, and I know Topper eluded to it as much. I know they're not going to take Schwarbs out of the leadoff spot, and you need someone scary behind Harper to protect him, so I'd go:

    1. Schwarber
    2. Realmuto
    3. Harper
    4. Hoskins
    5. Bohm
    6. Castellanos
    7. Stott
    8. Segura
    9. Marsh

Considering the Astros haven't lost a game these playoffs and that every pitcher they run out has a sub 2.5 ERA it seems, I was pretty certain they would win this series.

Then Segura gets off the bus in his uniform and it's over...Phillies win.

Spectrum shows this week - Monday was 10/27, yesterday 10/28.

10/30/09 today - the best one. Force of Nature dedicated to Raul (attending the concert) - yeah. Just wish he could hit Damaso Marte. Hopefully we can pull our own Damaso Marte out of the couch cushions.

I remember reading a while ago Stott was struggling because he was trying to jack every ball, and Segura picked up that Stott has a completely different approach with two strikes (he plants his lead foot earlier in his stride). So Jean went up to him and said, "hey, why don't you just swing that way all the time?" and that's basically what he did. I think he's going to have a huge year next year.

Now, I don't want to talk about next year yet, but if they can get a legit leadoff hitter (Turner), a #3 starter, and a decenter reliever (whether that's an FA or in-house), this team is scary good for 162+.

Yeah, it's his UCL which I think is TJ surgery. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be surgery ASAP once this is all done. Then figure 6 months from then. Last I heard Vegas, or one of the sportsbooks, had Philly as heavy favorites to land Turner so it ain't a pipe dream. And I don't want to get ahead of ourselves and start kicking people out the door, but if they do that then Segura is most likely gone, and dare I say it I'd trade Hoskins at his max value.
