More like $250 after fees (I think). But, regardless, starting to realize this show is right around the corner. GETTING EXCITED.
Plus parking. Well it is a FREAKING PEARL JAM CONCERT so there's that!

I look forward to thinking, "I'm riding my bike to see Pearl Jam on the beach." Looks like secondary market has dipped, so anyone looking seems like a "deal".

Probably people afraid of the virus - I'll probably bite.

Or nitwits that are now bailing because they have to be vaxed/tested and/or wear a mask. I'm assuming we're all gonna have to wear a mask.
$250 a ticket and proof of vaccination/negative covid test you say? hmmmmm
I got the Birds opening day the next morning so....hoooboy, talk about leaping right out of the pandemic and into a full blown old school black out laden weekend. But I am dying to hear some Gigaton songs live though. Considering this .
Although...how many Gigaton songs do you guys think they will even play at a festival? Usually it's greatest hits stuff. But then again, I bet they are dying to play their "new" stuff too.

Superblood Wolfmoon, DOTC, and Quick Escape will undoubtedly be played. Can't wait.
From all the interviews it seems like they're itching to play stuff from this album badly. And Jeff keeps inferring that it's been so long that they played anything else they legit forget playing some tunes, so they might end up Dylan-ing it and totally change up the melody/timing to some songs.
The schedule has them with a two hour window, but I mean with Bruce coming on I figure they'll go at least 3? Hee hee.
Anyway, greatest hits or not, I don't give a shit. They could lead the crowd in singing 'I'm a Little Teapot' for 2 hours and I would be fucking ecstatic.

These are 3 of the 4 best songs on the record, IMO -- the one I expect to be the best live song from the album is Who Ever Said.

The first four songs are my favorites as well. In fact, I noticed that PJ has a lot of killer "1st four songs" on albums throughout the years. I even made a poll about it about a year ago....
Those are the only 4 I listen to. Tried the others a bunch when it came out but too slow/boring....I think once I see them live I will likely dig on them some more.
Will be jealous on the day of those who are there but I was not going to be able to do concerts at this point in time. Hope it is a total blast and they blow shit out!
Hmmm - not sure how I feel about this "first four" theory. I think it works for Vitalogy and Riot Act. Maybe LB I guess.
Avocado album for me the last 5 songs are the best part. Although I love how the first 4 songs blow you away to start.
Ten, Vs. are stacked throughout. Binaural & Backspacer I think are middle-heavy.

I think it also works on No Code and Yield to a certain extent and those are, inarguably, their two greatest albums.
They'll always hold a special place for me because No Code was the first album to be released while I was a fan, and Yield was the first album to be released once I was obsessed.
The following songs are OUT of the First 4 on No Code and Yield: Smile, Red Mosquito, Off He Goes, Present Tense, DTE, In Hiding, All Those Yesterdays, MFC

I hope they change my mind but Seven O Clock puts me to sleep....6 minutes of boring
Will be very interested to see what they want to play.
here are my thoughts on Gigaton songs.
Really like: Who Ever Said, Superblood Wolfmoon, Dance of the Clairvoyants, Quick Escape, 7'OClock, Retrograde, and Comes then Goes Decent but fairly ordinary for PJ: Never Destination, Take the Long Way Eh not feeling them: Alright and River Cross Skip and don't like even a little - Buckle Up.
I fully support No Code and Yield being awesome from front-back.
(Just not their latest...)
Whoa whoa whoa....stop the clock
In no way shape or form am I insinuating they are not awesome front to back. But every album has their best songs and their not so best songs. Just so happens on those records, as well as most PJ records, the stronger tracks are on the front side.
But I am dying to hear some Gigaton songs live though.

Yeah. I like the album. Guessing you don't?
it sucks. just like BS and LB. they’ve run out of songs to write.

I think LB and BS are quite inferior to the Gig. Those are the only two albums I never really listen to. And Force of Nature can go fuck itself.
There are some songs on Gigaton that I could take or leave but, overall, I still think it's an album we'd be mostly happy with if it came out 15 years ago or so.
