I was wrong. My company sent an email - you need to validate your vaccination status to be in the office without a mask. This stuff is happening fast.

I saw a kid at Rite-Aid yesterday asking for the vaccine and I said "thank you" to him. I think he was like who the F is this guy?

Yeah, if Philly goes from wearing masks indoors is "suggested" to mandated I think we'll end up working from home full-time. Which, twist my arm.

Yeah I'm not running two 6 minute miles, although I might have at 17-18.  Certainly not on college...the drugs and booze part would've made sure of that.
    A 5k in 22?
Maybe.....maybe if I focused on short runs I could get there again.  Right now that would mean about as fast as I can run a mile, three times in a row.  I'm not there.  Building for the 50K and am totally fine with 10+ minutes per mile.  I need to finish, not have a stroke.

For the 5k I'll probably push to hit 27...this course has big ass hills and is really 3.4 miles.

    That doesn't sound like a 5K...

    50K - damn.

I can't even say what my miles are these days - it's really embarrassing.

I'm currently working while drinking a beer and seriously contemplating playing 18 super early before work tomorrow (assuming no Ben trade which will keep me up all night). Working from home is fucking awesome.

NL East is basically three teams hit by injuries and/or unloading their stars....then there's underachieving Mets.... and the woeful Phillies, with their thumbs up their asses as the deadline nears.

This is absolutely crazy. Less than 3 hours left to the deadline and I'm getting belated happy birthday emails to BOGO some tickets. Christ almighty, how inept.

Kyle Gibson's name just dropped on MLBN in relation to the Phils. This would be a big get. And as pathetic as this all sounds - Inciarte would be a huge upgrade in CF, they should pick him up. That hurt to type.

I don't even get Phillies emails anymore. Maybe I unsubscribed since they were constantly harassing me with emails about dumb apparel.

Not to mention they've probably fucked themselves since their minor league complex in backward ass skull fucked yokel of a place Florida has been slammed by Covid infections. There's no better mix for fucking morons than the state of Florida and baseball players.

Goddamn fucking Mets. Everyone's doing something. Right now swirling is some mix of Buxton, Donaldson, Gibson, Kennedy. I'm gonna rip my hair out.

Haha, doesn't sit completely well with me but I think I can live with it.

    1. He's not helping you this year.
    2. Maybe he helps you 2-4 years down the road
    3. 1-3 slots in the rotation are kinda set for that amount of time anyway
    4. Your 1-4 rotation is more stable for 2022
    5. If Howard ends up being a decent reliever, then that's a little annoying but that could be a coin flip at best.

But, haha, I hear you. I think he hasn't gotten a fair shake, and was rushed.

Getting a top 10 prospect Hans Crouse from TX, too, for Gowdy and Gessner. I think this is more digestible for me now.

We also got Hans Crouse in this trade!

I guess obtaining a Die Hard villain makes me feel better.

Looks like TX kicked in $4M of salary, too. I'll love that if it means that there's another deal getting swung here...

Yes, I - and most likely you - have all of these, but pretty nifty to have them playlist them altogether. Friday's good. Cheers to you all with this Bell's Two Hearted in hand and Ain't Talkin 'Bout Love on full blast.

I think so. If you step back they really don't have much in prospects to trade. My Phillies twitter is blowing up like everyone's jumping off bridges, but I don't get that. I mean I'm remembering that Harper is hurt which sucks. Atlanta got better, so did the Mets. But I think we did, too.

We've blown more games than saves. If this can help right that, plus we have 37 of 60 games remaining against teams that basically have raised the white flag and are pretty, pretty bad. You could argue Pittsburgh trading Rodriguez to Atlanta helps us since we're playing the Buccos this weekend. I would've liked a CF but if our 1-4 starters do their part I think we can slip into 1st. Which would be very much 2007-esque with the Mets expected to take the division. Oh god, I just fucking jinxed it.

    Fun deadline tho!
