At least you have the Mets to fix things.

Good god, Mickey, say the opposite and just say you're sorry.

    Hats for bats.

I like how the lineup looked last night and again tonight. Hopefully Scottie keeps it up in the leadoff spot.

It was Franco. That's what we've been missing.

Good for Kapler getting himself rung after that bullshit warning to the Phillies after Kingery was hit by a pitch. So the Phillies bat around in the inning, hit back-to-back homeruns, then the Mets pitchers plunks Kingery, and the PHILLIES get warned along with the Mets? Fuck that. Just warn the Mets.

THAT'S how you bounce back with a sweep! Great comeback win.

I don't mind Rollins. I'm not too picky with my commentators. Actually, and Juggler won't believe his eyes when he reads it, I like McCarthy. And Murph. Ben. Kruk. Schmidt. Phanatic. The whole gang. I just  hate Botttalico on the post game. He is the goddamn worst.

I love Rollins in the booth. And I think he’s better than the last time a month or so ago. Wish he was there full time. Gotta be the first time I’ve enjoyed the telecast since HK passed

I think he is still growing into it and getting comfortable. right now I think he's just ok. Kruk is hilarious and quite entertaining. Ben Davis is good  Not a fan of Schmitty.  Not a fan of the 3 man booth though.Barkann is annoying as hell on post game live.  I don't mind Botallico. He at least rips them when needed.

I missed this. I like Ben Davis. Everyone else, except the Phanatic blows.

But Rollins in the booth with Davis and TMac actually made TMac somewhat listenable.

Jimmy had a line in the 9th as the Mets pitcher was throwing 99mph fastball after fastball. He said something about him slipping a slider in there to fool batters and then he tosses in a Michael Jackson esque "HEE HEEEE" for the special effect. I guess you needed to hear it. But it was really funny. Had my wife and I laughing out loud.

    Tom McCarthy sucks.
Ben Davis - Square Head - sucks.
    Mike Schmidt sucks.
Jimmy Rollins is new, and shakes it up. I'm fine with this.
Larry Andersen Fan Club at Downey's. Or Pete's Sake. All day every day.
Scott Franzke right there with LA.
Kevin Frandsen.....surprisingly doesn't suck, and is actually not that bad.
  • I rarely listen to baseball announcers for TV.  Typically reading a book or doing something else at the same time.  Enjoy many radio announcers, although I couldn't say much about the ones for the Phils.  If I am in my car, I have XM, and I listed to the Reds if they are on.  Marty Brennaman is the tits, so sorry he is going to leave after this year.
The TV guys feel they need to talk the entire time.
The love he receives is the love that is saved

Frandsen is really good, isn't he? He was a surprising choice in that he only played here a year or two and wasn't that good. Usually it's a guy who had a bigger impact on the team. Good chemistry with Franzke.

Anybody read Gelb's article today? Having live pitching with the pitcher trying to get the batter out during BP seems like a good way to practice for games. I don't understand why this is something hardly anyone does. And I can understand why some hitters would not like it because it would mess with their routine and all that stuff....and they want success and want to feel good heading into the games. But, yeah, the guy's gotta point in that no other sport practices that way. Embrace the failure! Dealing with failure is an enormous part of this game.

No other sport plays every day either though.

Was listening to voit talk about his routine and he goes in the cages and works with the pitching machine on the pitch and speed of whatever the secondary pitch of that nights pitcher is. Thought that was pretty smart
