Choked. A decent left fielder has to get the last ball. Bad bad loss

yeah they should not have blown that!  Where was the effort? Could have at least attempted to dive for the ball

Dive wasn't going to help.  Possibly just add another guy to the Injured List.
He used to be an above average fielder in right, have not watched him regularly in a while and it looks like he has lost a step.  (That step would have put him in position to lay out for it....)

Other than live sports and that local golf show with those old dudes sitting around complaining about shit there is literally nothing to watch on this NBC Sports Philly station anymore unless Taryn Hatcher is on.

agree. not sure why they got rid of the nightly Sportsnet show. cut costs i guess.  I wish they could show some of the sports from other cities from their NBC Sports channels when the local teams don't play.    and Taryn Hatcher is very nice addition to the Flyers broadcasts.

And the morning show is only 15 minutes long. Blink and you'll miss it. I really hate what the station has turned into.

Taryn Hatcher should be on Sixers and Phillies games too. Beat it, Murph.

Yeah, I'd say they're onto something though. I have "cable" in the sense that I have Playstation Vue. And I don't have cable boxes in my house to just throw on any program on a whim. The days, for some, are over of putting the tv on some default show in the morning (though, I reserve a spot for Good Day Philadelphia since it's over-the-air, and an HD antenna is sweet). So, now I know they've lost viewers like myself that explicitly only go to the NBCSports App to cast the game to my TV or on my phone. I have zero reasons to watch that channel, other than the actual game, or maybe some pre- or post-game content.

Hell yeah. That momentum keeps turning. Scherzer bunted his face off yesterday and broke his nose so I'm assuming he's not starting now. Gotta get these marginal advantages.

    This lineup is on fire.

I tried reading this at work yesterday and it was just too fucking long. Round 2 today.

It is long and it gets a bit technical in areas, which it probably has to to lay out its case. I thought it was great though and believe the conclusion

this offense is really struggling right now.  it's basically kingery and realmuto and that's it.  what has happened to Hoskins?  and anyone else concerned that Harper never seems to pull the ball?  he can't seem to catch up to fastballs.  alarming to say the least.

Yeah, we're almost 3 months in now. Harper's gotta be better. Plain and simple.

Even moreso - basic baseball is an issue. Never be the first or third out at third. Yet he did this yesterday.

Run differential of 0 is not going to get you to the playoffs.

Funny thing is I checked that a couple weeks ago and they weren't doing too bad (right around where Atlanta is now). Crazy how sharp the decline has been.

the 15-1 blowout loss didn't really help them in that category. Hopefully they can salvage a win against the Nats tonight and sweep Miami this weekend

i wouldn't count on a sweep of Miami. Phils aren't even sure who is going to be the starting pitchers for those games yet.
