if only Louisville would get their shit together. I haven't heard a peep out of UPS in two days.
sigh.

Man I just can't catch a break. What have I said... something about very impressive, best I have ever heard through my headphones (ie CD player, minidisc comparison), probably used the word clarity at some stage.
On the more important question. Not sure my signature has ever been the same twice, but I am glad we are all graphologists around here. Think the design works better in terms of sizes, symmetry and whatnot, but I did prefer the black look of the concept art over the gold.

And they float.
In all of the worry, I too am guilty of overlooking your impression. Thanks for telling us how you feel! That's great news! Especially glad to hear they float.
"There's a $10,000 bill in it for you."
"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
"Uh, all of them. They're having a party. Jimmy Carter's passed out on the couch."
Oh and the float thing is reference to an earlier comment about me throwing it in a river as the 'fake' signatures making it worthless. Just a joke, probably best you don't try it at home.
But if you like listening to music you should consider getting one. If you like paperweights or shelf ornaments get something cheaper. Like a paperweight, for example, which you probably can also throw in rivers.

I got a PJ Pono on its way, hopefully. Waiting for the shipping notification. But happy to hear it has more use as a music player than a paperweight because I was debating what to do with it.
Which Neil Young track did it come with?

The Neil Song was There's a World from Harvest in glorious 192/44. Very good choice as it is recorded with the LSO so it really shows off the player's qualities.

Thanks Kev, your comments are the best thing about this thread at the moment!
“Do not postpone happiness”

But $400 for a device that offers high quality music at home, in the car, and on foot is actually totally worth it. I don't find these overpriced at all.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
While the UPS site still says it's waiting for power of attorney, I also got an email from UPS stating it's due to be delivered tomorrow. I hope so....

Me too, but it's said that two nights ago and was subsequently changed to no date
I know I was born and I know that I'll die. The in between is mine.

Same here, but the delivery date on the UPS site has been updated from no date, to end of business tomorrow. It gives me hope that in the next couple of hours the status will actually update to in transit or something like that.
But can you charge them in the microwave like the new iphone?
I haven't tried that yet as I don't want the fake signatures, that were clearly written by lizard people, to melt away as it is the only evidence that they control all world governments - or something.
has anyone compared the quality of a FLAC played on the Pono player to say the quality from a PC media player?
Components man, components. The PONO ads that they are built with quality electronics. Unless you custom built your PC and installed some $$$$ sound card, I am going to say it won't hold a candle to the PONO.

Thats kind of what i want to know. Are the components that good that you can tell the difference?

I have played the same FLAC files on both and the sound is much better through the Pono - which I would expect as my computer is not a specialist music player. It is a device for playing Freecell and writing all day what Pono sounds like.
