just boring figure skating on NBC so I turned it to CBUT since Canadian coverage tends to be better and they cover more events....but tonight they're showing freakin figure skating too...

come on networks... show skiers or snowboarders flinging hemselves down a mountain. and if it's on a rink it should be either speed-skating or hockey. stuff like that or show some crazy mofo's doing 70-75mph down a icy luge

They love showing the figure skating on prime time....it's worse than usual for these olympics since they added that team figure skating event.

Speaking of snowboarding ... Glad to see Sean White and the rest of the US men shutout of the half pike medals after all the whining they did, I guess the course was no problem for others.

Shaun White's "teammates" are a bunch of dicks. Especially Davis. Way to represent the USA, asshole ... leave the bickering back at the lodge in Colorado. These are the Olympics.

Seriously, they travel like 2-3 miles at that speed and end with the same time to the hundredth of a second. Nuts

No idea how the pools were decided for men's hockey, but it does seem we've drawn a favorable pool in which the first 2 games should amount to exhibition games. I expect plenty of tinkering with line combinations these first couple of games and it will allow us a couple games to adjust to the larger ice surface ...

Up early for the US hockey game....let's go USA!!

Coffee for periods 1 and 2. Maybe a beer or two for the third. Took off work to watch the game and we're expecting a foot of snow. An early beer can't hurt.

I've got the coffee going, but unfortunately won't have the beer since I'm "working" from home today. Good luck with that snowstorm....for once, the storm heading to the NE didn't go through Chicago first. What a brutal winter this has been.

Holy shit! Damn snow, I missed the 2nd period into the 3rd shoveling...when I came back in it went from 1-0 to 7-1!
I expected us to win this game but not like that. Very nice!

It was 1-1 45 seconds into the 2nd. 4-1 about 5 minutes in.

Kind of what I expected in game 1 against Norway. I thought the lines would be switched up more. But all in a win is a win, need to get PKU Suban in the lineup.
