My thoughts:
Dam thats expensive.
If Eddie toured the US I would probably only go to 1 show..
Why did Matt Cameron go on Hiatus from Soundgarden for Eddie to do a solo thing?

"$261 U.S. for 2 tickets  ...that seems reasonable :?"
" $261US = 287.92 Aus....$143.96 local currency per ticket...Is that standard for current shows of any band in Australia? WTF"
I think generally Aussie ticket prices are steep!
Usually between AUD$100-150 depending on performer.
I think PJ was around AUD$135 inc bf in 2009. I also thought EV was around AUD$120-130 in 2011?
I don't like it but that's the way it is out here :?

Devastated there is no Adelaide show. Really surprised by that.
Can anyone tell me what to expect from an Eddie solo show? I went to the Ukulele show at Thebarton Theatre. Would this be the same? Will he do PJ songs? I wonder if he will cover the music he recently discovered from his dad? That would be cool.
Well have just submitted for the ten club pre sale Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please. let it be......
As far as ticket prices go, everything is ridiculously expensive in Australia. For our American friends, a 24-pack of Budweiser or Corona will set you back about $50 (if you get a good deal). A pint of beer will cost $10 (or more) in a bar in Perth.
So glad I've moved to Austin. Bands that come through here and charge $15-$20 ... if they make it to Oz it will be $40-$50. Once you go out to the $600 Rolling Stones tickets, prices are about the same.
One thing ... Eddie is already in the country, and so I don't think he needs to bump up the prices. It's still worth it to me, but still. Not a bad effort for him to make a few million bucks in a few weeks with just a suitcase, surfboard and a few guitars to carry around.
Was going back to Perth for a month in February, so I'm glad I'll be able to see him. Filthy that I'm going to miss the BDO due to bastard airlines charging $1k more to leave on 31st January compared with 1st February.
I bet everyone in sydney puts Opera House as first preference. Though I have little faith in quality seats being handed out to (most of) the winners. Considering I picked up 2nd row through TM in 2011, and all my other public bought tickets were better than what i got through 10c... maybe shouldn't even bother with lottery... it's more a convenience thing nowadays.
Still would rather be seeing PJ (no bdo for me).
fuck yeh!!! Was so pumped for Gold Coast and Melbourne BDO now Eddie solo shows.. I need a shot of whiskey and a joint to calm me down. Christmas, Pearl Jam, Eddie shows = no money but who cares, good times ahead.

You think Eddie still carries his own guitars around?!?! just kidding
Sounds like the routine EV ticket lotto... Your seats will most likely be nothing to brag about. There's a difference when that's the case for an instant sell out show and one that doesn't sell out for 8 months like the show I went to last year... I'm sure Australia will be popular shows especially with all those surprise Springsteen appearances!

Awesome news!!!
I've only entered for the Sydney shows as the budget won't stretch to travelling interstate unfortunately. EV at the State Theatre was awesome in 2011, and so was Chris Cornell at the Opera House. They're both great venues for a solo show. The 10C seats I had for EV Sydney 2 weren't great but at least I was in the room, that's what counts.
Good luck everyone, fingers crossed!

We can only get 1 pair of tickets to 1 show - which I suppose is fair to ensure everyone gets a shot to see a show.
From memory last time, the QPAC website crashed when trying to get tickets to the Brisbane shows - should be an interesting day when they go on sale to public. Wonder if Chugg will have a presale as well?

Oh no.. really? I had no problem getting Cornell solo tickets through them in 2011 and was amazed to get 6th row.

Yeah - I know I had a few issues with selecting seats then it returned to front screen (I know of a couple of others as well) - Hopefully its improved now. I hate the stress of getting tix

We should be ok for Brissie. I think the Sydney shows (especially the one at the Opera House) are going to be harder to get.
I wonder who will open?! Gareth Liddiard would be fucking amazing, but is too good to open for anyone.
On a side note... Pearl Jam DEFINITELY should be made aware of THE DRONES and watch them at the Big Day Out. Best band in Australia now!

Good old Adelaide. Booked same apartments as we all stayed in 2009.
Have fun at Goldie. We will fit right in at BDO with our age
Which is why I am going to get there about an hour before PJ's set when it's dark outside. I don't want to look like someone's mum.
