As a Cubs fan, I don't need to hear sympathy for Cleveland "needing" a Championship. Congrats nonetheless, as I completely understand what it is to be a fan of a team that never wins. (And it must really sting knowing the Ravens have won 2 Super Bowls).
I don't like Lebron and I wanted GSW to win, but I've always enjoyed the city of Cleveland every time I've visited.

Does Kevin Love wear #0 because zero in tennis is "love?"

it's not really comparable to the Cubs though because even though the Cubs have one forever Chicago has won a ton of Championships Hell even the White Sox won one. Cleveland hadn't won any in any sport since 1960 or whatever.

GS played the entire game like they knew they were going to win. Absolutely no will or drive. They expected to make every 3 pointer and played zero defense. Really a pathetic game from the ex champs.

Congrats Cleveland. And lebron is in the same ball park with jordan. He's not Michael yet, but he's definitely in the same conversation.

Jordan has never taken a bad team to the Finals though.
you might want to review the roster of Jordan's 1st 3 title teams. other than Pippen they were fairly pedestrian.

Whatever happened to the great center position?

I wonder if that style of post up ball will ever resurface or is the 3 Pointer the end all be all now?

That's right....he'll cream you like cheese and spread you on his bagel and his Ford Explorer was always boomin with a clump of funk.

Don't forget about his video game empire either. Mortal Kombat had nothing on Shaq Fu.

Has anyone noticed this about Lebron James at age 31 has accomplished more than MJ at the same age. They both had 3 titles however LJ has been to more titles. MJ though to this point never lost a title. I'll try to get more stats as to what they've accomplished at age 31.

    Peace

don't forget Lebron chased his 1st two titles by leaving via free agency while Michael stayed and helped build the Bulls.

That was pretty cool ad, I can remember the very same look and reaction when the Red Sox came back and beat the Yankees in 2004. As for the World Series I KNEW they were going to win their confidence was just too high.

    CLEVELAND ROCKS

Patrick Ewing was the absolute best at one thing - traveling EVERY time he got the ball and NEVER getting called for it. Now everyone takes 3 steps and switches their pivot foot and don't get called for it. Ewing changed the rules of the game; albeit for worse. I guess you could say he was a pioneer of sorts.

Liked the concept of that particular ad but you will never see me wear Nike shoes. $325 for pieces of rubber and leather glued together hell that's a car payment.

And that woman asking the questions for ABC may be the driest, most monotone reporter I've ever heard. Absolutely no personality.

I agree, I've never liked her... Where's Craig Sager?
    Sager works for TNT.

I spent the first 21 years of my life in Ohio....I would not have lost sleep had the Cavs lost but the win was SWEET!
Maybe you missed Sager in game 6 then?
no, I didn't....as someone pointed out, that was a special thing.
It was special that's why I wanted him there again.

He's been my favorite commentator. He, Chick Hearn and Marv Albert. I know the last two were play by play guys but I loved hearing them.
this may have been posted but Sager is getting all kinds of chemo, marrow, platelets....maybe a trip to Oakland would have been too much. :bawling:

I agree with Tony Kornheiser that Draymond got suspended so the NBA and TV could get a seven game series. I was rooting for Cleveland but I think the Finals deserve an *.
