He has seen Dylan and the Black Keys and had a blast! Worried he won't make the length of a Pearl Jam show. I've got ear protection....Any other advice from parents?

    Really?

Not judging! Just saying: As the parent of two teenage girls, I know there will be other times to experience these types of things with him. Don't rush it; 3 is too young. My 14-year-old daughter is going with me to the Portland show in November. That's about the right age to enjoy and remember it, But again, it's your call.

I have a 2 year old... He is hard to control in public but I manage. That said... I cannot imagine being able to enjoy myself at a show with him in tow... Even in a year or 5 or 10...

Did he really have a blast at Dylan and the Black Keys or were you to busy having a blast to notice he wasn't?

  • Only a complete idiot would bring a 3 year old to a rock concert. Are you going to expect everyone to stay calm, not get rowdy, not swear, and not drink too much around your 3 year old. If your kid gets bumped into are you going to blame the person or will you just admit that your a fucking idiot.

I do have advice for you as I am a parent of a 2.5 year old.

This is urgent, so we do not have much time. Book me a flight to the east coast immediately! Upon my arrival, I will take your tickets to the venue and survey the situation and let you know what I think. If it is not suitable for your child, I will gladly spend the rest of the evening in his place.

Wow, what a waste of a ticket and is wrong in so many ways. Dude, no offense but that's idiotic. :fp:

What's wrong with you people? I get it.... It's the "trendy" thing to do I guess. But come on, horribly loud music, drunk people everywhere not giving a shit about anything but the band, not to mention the smoking.

Horrible idea. But it's your kid. Hope you get/got your shit from the band.

I've got 3 kids under the age of 5 and I wouldn't even think about taking them. At least thinking about the people next to me that my kids would surely drive insane. Think about the people that paid good money and now have to spend the show sitting next to a 3 yr old. I don't care how well behaved they are, I'd be pissed if I had to sit next to a 3 yr old.
