Working out my accommodation and transportation - having a little bit of trouble but I'm learning as I go.
Question about Translink. Should I purchase a Go card if I plan on using public transit most of the time? Are they also good for use in Melbourne and Sydney?

Go Card is much cheaper too have in Brisbane.

Myki is the equivalent in Melbourne.

    Sydney has something else.

None of them work on the other systems.

Couldn't resist. I ended up getting Adelaide to go with Melbourne. I should have friends holidaying there at that time who will also attend. If not, well, that worry comes later...

I am going to say what may come as a shock to some: I freaking like Adelaide. I caught one of Eddie's shows there and had a wonderful time looking around. In my book, Adelaide shits on Melbourne. And now I back away quietly...

morello (Jen) has started a pre-party date claimer for Auckland.
Which I'll work with her to get that organised. I will link it here later.

I need volunteers for the other cities as well to be the main local contact.
Let me know peeps! It's not hard, you need too organise a venue and we could do a raffle for Wishlist foundation if we can get some PJ related donations from other peeps.

So basically I need the PJ community to support me in a few ways.
    So come at me :)

Can anyone give me some advice, If I was to go to Australia for a show (as well as doing the Auckland one) which one would you guys suggest keeping in mind that I've never been to Australia- and Never traveled internationally on my own.

I'm sooo tempted... I have the money, my biggest worry would be finding a hotel close enough to a venue so I'm not wandering around at night in a city I don't know (i'm only 19)

I'm thinking either Melbourne or Sydney? Help me out here! :D

if you did sydney shows you d be there for australia day, might see a extra special show or better atmosphere

Melbourne in the bag! My hometown!

Any chance people of organising a pre show meet up earlier in the day. Prob going to the show alone, few people I know just couldn't afford the price. It would be nice to hook up with some 10clubbers before the show and say G'day! Very sceptical at first but with the help of 10club pre sale I'm stoked to be heading to the show!!

Can I get another question in before I quit for the night? Looking at a place near Surfer's in the Gold Coast for the show at Metricon Stadium.... I'm not really a huge beach person. Love the view. Love the sun. Hate the sand. This seems like a typical beach town. Would it be worth spending an extra day there (meaning 18-21) or is there enough to see in Melbourne to keep me properly busy from 20-24?

And I'm doing this whole thing solo so I will appreciate pre-parties and I would look forward to meeting new friends

thanks. i checked flights after i posted and it looks like the under $100 tickets are departing around 6am. I think i might prefer to sleep in and take an early flight on tuesday. I am trying to pick an apartment in Melbourne as I'm gonna be living there for 5 days and it would be a good opportunity to recharge in nice accomodations. In room laundry sounds like a dream come true. I'm most likely going to book at the City Tempo, if anyone knows it I would appreciate comments.

Also, Princess, you can add my name to Melbourne and Sydney 1 & 2.

I've been at this for about 18 hours. I think I'm done for the night.

Thanks for all the help everyone!
