    Please add me for Melbourne.

Glad Big Day Out has brought back physical tickets this year. Last year they only issued e-tickets and it just runs the vibe for mine.

What website is commonly used in australia for hotel booking? I'm looking at US based sites (kayak, trivago, hotels.com, booking, com, travelocity, priceline, etc.) and I think I might be better off looking at Australian sites. I did a quick Google search but didn't come up with anything useful.

wotif.com is in Aus as well but is only taking bookings up to the end of Jan at the moment so if you're going to the Perth BDO that's no use. Hotels.com is good for here too - I used it myself only yesterday to book my accommodation for Adelaide and Melbourne.

I'm in for Auckland. I won't go to Oz for any BDO dates, but in the unlikely event they do sideshows I could be tempted, in which case I'd probably do the local BDO too

Jodie, any kind of meetings?people asking about a preparty or something..i know alot will be in the line early

morello (Jen) has started a pre-party date claimer for Auckland.
Which I'll work with her to get that organised. I will link it here later.

I need volunteers for the other cities as well to be the main local contact.
Let me know peeps! It's not hard, you need too organise a venue and we could do a raffle for Wishlist foundation if we can get some PJ related donations from other peeps.

So basically I need the PJ community to support me in a few ways.
    So come at me :)

    Hi guys & gals,
I live pretty close 2 Metricon on the GC and would be happy 2 help organise a bit of a get together.
There is a cool bowls club not far from me - perhaps some barefoot bowls & a few beers b4 BDO???

    Cheers

Can we start a travelling-from-North-America support group? I am glad I'm not the only one.

I'm considering looking for a flight with a stopover someplace fun - break up the looooooooooooooong ride from the west coast, and give me the opportunity to see someplace new.

A lot of people who fly from the US to Auckland stop over in Rarotonga its four hours from NZ so breaks the trip up nicely. That's if you like beaches and islands haha :D
Pearl Jam Pearl Jam Pearl Jam!

I'm looking to buy a single ticket to Ed's Sydney Opera House show, PM me if you've got a spare! I don't care where the seat is! :D

Hawaiian Airlines now flies direct from Honolulu to Auckland so that is an option, also some of the cheaper flights right now are on Air Pacific(aka Fiji Airways) with a layover in Fiji. Not a bad gig I guess.

  • I am so disappointed that they won't be doing a side show. I just can't justify spending that much money as PJ are the only band in that line up I would really like to see. Also putting up with all the drunk idiots at BDO....nope

I'm in for Sydney 2nd show. I figured the 1st Sydney show might sell out and 2nd one probably not, so it might be less crowded and easier to get to the front.

This will be close to my 10th time seeing them.

Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you guys up the front.

For anyone who didn't get tickets in the PJ presale, you should head along to your local General Pants Co and buy them from there. They've got the souvenir (ie. physical) ticket which is the most coolest concert ticket I have ever seen and it's selling for the same price as the print-out ticket from the BDO website. I also scored myself a couple of BDO posters for free.
