I am unable to attend the Adelaide Big Day Out, hence I have a ticket to offload. If anyone is interested, I can do you a sweet deal. An even better deal if you show some leg. Just kidding.
It is a hardcopy ticket, so as soon as it finds its way to my mailbox, I will send it your way. We can work something out. Let me know.
I don't follow Australian politics much so I don't get most of the jokes, but it was still funny as hell. I stumbled upon this on twitter. Bloody twitter!
heads up guys and girls travelling interstate for BDO jetstar are having a sale at the moment ends tonight 26th. I think most the specials are to or from perth. however im flying Perth to brisbane after bdo for $139 which is pretty good really. its worth checking out although the cheap flights may not suit everyone, cheers
I have two tickets for sale - one Melbourne, one Sydney 2. Paid $195 for each, happy to sell for $160 each.
PM if interested or know someone who might be.
Cheers
A looong time ago....They are pretty good now, too. Their flights to and from Auckland are on newly obtained A330s so depending on your view that could be either good or bad.

I know the A330 is a type of plane but I genuinely have no idea how it differs from the 747 Qantas option.
I'm stressing out over my return flight pretty harshly because there's no way for me to know exactly when I need to be back by for a while. So I have the option of booking an expensive ticket which could be a waste of money because I could have come back a day or two later, or save myself a few hundred $$ and risk missing a few days of school.
I just found a jetstar + hawaiian air combo that puts me at nearly half the delta/qantas flights i was looking at, with a long-enough-to-go-relax-on-the-beach layover in honolulu.
I haven't flown Qantas in years, but when I flew with Delta from LAX to Sydney last year I went on the Delta website and paid slightly extra for an economy comfort seat (front row at the bulkhead) and it was money well spent if you value having some leg room.

Shit, I just realised the Auckland BDO is going to be my 20th Pearl Jam show! Wow! Far out!
That's awesome! Congratulations! ... and a 21st as well...?
Haha. No 21st lined up yet. Tbh it's the price of the Ausi BDO tix that put me off coming over. I found flights all up for NZ$420 but then BDO tix at AU$200ish each on top of that added up & now flights'd be a lot more so my 1 Akl BDO can be the cherry on top after my US tour.

The Big Day Out festival have pulled their second Sydney event, with organisers admitting that they were “perhaps a bit ambitious”.
The date planned for Monday 27 January will now consolidate into the Sunday 26 January Australia Day festival.
Festival promoter Ken West, who is believed to have sold his stake in the event to AJ Maddah recently, told theMusic.com.au prior to the artist announcement that the two Sydney shows were a gamble, but they felt they had the capacity for it.
“It’s an experiment, it’s the same show twice apart from local bands, and a few bands have indicated that they’ll play different sets,” he said. “It might be a total fuck-up, but it feels right.”
Today organisers said that were "looking into a possible extended capacity" for the Sunday event. Tickets for the Monday 27 event are automatically valid for the Sunday 26 date, but punters holding Monday 27 tickets also have the option to swap it for a date in another city or opt for a refund.
The year's event features one of the biggest Big Day Out line-ups in years, with Arcade Fire, Blur and Pearl Jam headlining.
