Yeah, you won't get anyone booing here over the mere mention of Bushleaguer as they did in Camden. That alone should call for Halifax being placed as a regular stop on any upcoming tours instead of Camden.

Aye. ***hangs head in shame, with no real excuse in sight***. But perhaps there should be a category for most prolific non-attendee ?! And who has done more generally speaking to promote the 'burg of Halifornia for future PJ gigs ? Why, no one. Does the "Forget Toronto, Come back to Halifax" sign not mean anything ?! I risked life and limb over that one.......OK, well, not exactly, but it showed some serious civic pride and gumption in the face of 20,000 others who think they are God's gift to PJ. And was it not me who started the ball rolling on the whole Halifax thread thing ?! I believe it was, and Lanners can back me up on that one. Lanners, feel free to chime in anytime on this subject and announce the truth to the world........unless you are now going to turn coat and claim that initiative as your own......***cough,cough, wouldn't do that, cough cough, Lanners is too honest, cough, cough***

Ultimately, Sward, your zeal and keyboard sacrifices cannot be denied. But hey, there's than one way to skin a cat.....

Noticed on another thread that somebody was jonesin' to see Hard to Imagine as an opener. I also saw that a few Hfx. people had let this poor fella know just how beautiful it WAS as an opener. Lucky, lucky people.

Is it just me attributing/ascribing too much to this gig, or did something incredible happen in Halifax ?! It seems to me there was some special sort of syneregy in action that night......

you are the Truthmonger...i cannot lie. gotta give you mad props for your hard work and initiation of this initiative.

let's not nickel and dime this...we want what we want and we'll fight until we get it...right? we are a unified unit, an army of maritimers (both home and away). PJ planted the seed almost 9 months ago (wow, has it been that long!) and the fruit of this labour is about to spring forth--a giant mutant PJ baby which will stomp its way across the earth until it finds its daddy and brings them back here.

wow...i'm a weirdo today eh? even more so than usual!

You know what? I gots to agree with ya. Unsung hero..and I mean it! ;-)

But I will still pile up the posts so we can make it happen again. The Halifax show was THE best one..and experience I have been to/had yet....and that includes St Johns, where I met them all..so that is saying a lot! ;-)

    It will happen!

    colour me impressed!

unfortunately there is some strange sort of radio frequency eating force in my office that allows me to listen to a radio station for about 10 minutes at a time, after which i have to move to another station for the aforementioned 10 minute interval and so on and so forth.

we have tried constructing elaborate antennae to rectify the situation, but alas, it worketh not.

If I keep holding out,... will the light shine through?
Under this broken roof,... it's only rain that I feel
I've been waiting out the days,... Come Back.

I have been planning out,... All that I'd say to you
Since you slipped away,... Know that I still remain true
I've been wishing out the days,..

Please say, that if you hadn't of gone now
I wouldn't have lost you another way
From wherever you are,.... Come Back.

And these days, they linger on
And I'm the night, as I'm waiting on
The real possibility I may meet you in my dream
    I go to sleep

If I don't fall apart,.... will the memories stay clear
So you had to go,......... and I had to remain here

But the strangest thing to date
    So far away
And yet you feel so close
And I'm not gonna question it any other way

There must be an open door
    For you to
    Come Back

And the days, they linger on
And every night, what I'm waiting for
Is the real possibility I may meet you in my dream

    And sometimes you're there
And you're talking back to me
Come the morning I could swear you're next to me

    And it's okay.

    It's okay.
    It's okay.

    I'll be here
    Come Back
    Come Back

    I'll be here
    Come Back
    Come Back

    I'll be here
    Come Back
    Come Back
"ah fuck it get in trouble"

The fox advertises Life Wasted in there New Music Segment, but the only time I have heard them play it was during a request from myself.

I wish we could have c103 of old back. I remember back when yield came out they played the shit out of it including In Hiding. I should have bought the cd then but stupid me took almost 3 years to get it.

"We want what we want". Couldn't have said it better myself. And you're right - we must remain a unified force to crush the doom-and-gloomers. Now, if they would just take down this stupid poster of a half-naked woman in this computer lab, then I'd be able to write a coherent sentence.....

    BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

That's some computer lab you are in. Ours always had posters about course selection, the dangers of hacking, and signs for lost umbrellas.

So, when are PJ coming back? Should we start a pool?

    a bump for BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

    nice bump!

Boom doesn't get enough praise. I was listening to the Washington 06 boot today and i really enjoyed his intro to Betterman.

I know a lot of people don't like Boom's presence in the band, but i think that he adds an extra dimension to the music.

so, i too, will bump for BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

  • I just found the shirt I bought at the show today, the black, long sleeved one. I lost it in october and finding it reminded me of the show.

I never learn with regards to the sizing of PJ shirts. I tried mine on the other day (From the Halifax show) and I had to get the jaws of life to pry it back it off.

  • The fox is a pretty crappy radio station, but when I jumped in my car to drive to Toronto for the Riot Act tour as soon as I started my car Betterman came on the radio and on the way back around Woodstock NB, when I turned on local radio for some news Jeremy came on....the PJ gods must have been watching me....strange but true
