Just how did he bring the Bill of Rights down to you from 'Heaven'? Was he a postman?

It would have helped. You really can never tell around here, as reading back through this thread demonstrates.

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

    5 Great Things About America:

ONE. Every 4 to 8 years we have a peaceful transition of government. People in power leave voluntarily, and new people move in. Many world historians consider this a miracle.

TWO. We can travel from state-to-state whenever we want, without having to show a passport or papers of any kind. We can cross the whole country without interference. We take this for granted, but over the course of history, the FREEDOM we enjoy is unusual, and we should treasure it.

THREE. Anywhere you go in our country, you can go into a restaurant and be pretty confident that it is safe and sanitary. Why? Because every state has a Health Department that sees that restaurants live up to health standards, that’s why. So, some of our tax money really works, doesn’t it?

FOUR. We have a great collection of colleges and universities – the best in the world. Our universities do innovative research in physics, medicine, environmental studies, and technology. If knowledge eventually saves our world civilization, much of that knowledge will have been gained right here in the USA.

FIVE. Our civilization does best when there are frontiers. We have two frontiers left: the ocean depths and outer space. The USA is the world’s best space-faring nation. Right now we have a rover named “Curiosity” studying the planet Mars. ;)

No offense, GF, but this is spoken like a white man.

 I don't see that at all.

Wait so the tshirt states fighting terrorism did i interpret it wrong is it meaning that the American indians are the one's fighting against terror to protect what was rightfully theirs ? or that they are the one's who are terrorist i apologize if i missed interpreted the TSHIRT ...

Yeah, after you posted that I thought maybe I was wrong. But the chiefs pictured are Geronimo, Sitting Bull, Numaga, Osceola, who had to begin protecting their homeland in 1492. And no need to apologize, because when I looked it up I learned about Chief Numaga, a 19th century Northern Paiute leader had the courage and the vision to counsel against war. Facing severe threats to his people by invading white forces, Numaga repeatedly chose peace. And Osceola, (Florida Seminoles) 1804 -1838. :) Sitting Bull has always been my favorite. I may have to find a book to read about him this summer. Thanks for the inspiration josevolution.

Hey yeah Sitting bull is a true american icon and give my thanks to your husband for hi's service to this country ....

so what? now you don't think the tshirt is despicable???
    hear my name
    take a good look
    this could be the day
    hold my hand
    lie beside me
    i just need to say

This is due to Federalism. If this were not the case, States would be able to regulate commerce as they see fit. Also, thank Federal programs, such as our Interstate Highways that allow you to travel along roads and not have to pay an enterance toll of just passing through a state.

This is beacuse there are things called government regulations. If not in place, you would be getting more than your daily allotment of maggots and rat shit in your chili burger.

Trust me, sir... I'm not saying Ameica is not great. I love my country. I understand that we have horrible skeletons in our closets and we do horrible things in our country's name... and we cannot pretend that we didn't do those things and we are not currently doing those things. We are not perfect... and I accept that.
I believe we are capable of being truely great... if we are united as a people. I believe we can do great in the world... if we do not place our best interests ahead of those countries we are claiming to help. We should get our house in order before we decide to place Syria's, Iraq's, Afghanistan's, Iran's or North Korea's house in order.
Anyway, I believe in America and am grateful for those right bestowed upon us by our Constitution. I believe we need to hold our leadership responsible... ALL OF THE TIME and not just when the guy from the other political party in in office. We are Americans first... our political party affiliation and our political views should be way the fuck down there. Family, friends, neighbors, religious (or absense of) belief, people of other nations, environment, animals... all should take priority over politics. We should vote... and ACCEPT the winner as our leader and quit seeing our political opponents as the enemy.
    ...
Also... we really need to quit fucking meddling in the domestic affairs of foriegn nations. If a Civil War is part of Syria's future history... it is meant to be. Let Syria sort out their issues.
    ...
and we need to quit being Israel's bitch. They fuck up all the time and we back them up. We need to call them dicks... when they are acting like dicks.

Is this what you mean by 'Freedom' Godfather?

    2636670812_8b2576947f.jpg

As we speak, Bradley Manning is on trial in the U.S for exposing war crimes, and government corruption. He sacrificed his freedom to reveal the truth to the American public. But you don't give a shit about that, do you? The kind of freedom you spout about means the freedom to sit on your ass flicking through 100 channels of force-fed bullshit on the t.v, spewing bigoted vitriol against Muslims - or whoever just happens to be America's professed enemy of the day - and convincing yourself that 'America is the greatest'. I.e, this so-called 'freedom' you refer to is really nothing of the sort.

Your t.v set tells you what to think, and what to say, and what to love, and what to hate. You wouldn't know freedom if it walked up and slapped you across the face.

Meanwhile, as soon as someone like Bradley Manning viewtopic.php?f=13&t=192265&start=60#p5072448 helps expose the crimes of those in power, his 'freedom' gets neutralized, and those fighting for real freedom - as opposed to imaginary, glossy-lipped, mainstream t.v 'freedom' - are ostracized, verbally and physically abused, and carted off for a lifetime in jail. And the majority of the American public are completely oblivious and/or disinterested in it, sitting on their fat asses, blinking at their television sets, and munching freedom fries.
