The thing I see with Benghazi is the fanaticism taken on by some. Granted, that 'some' are the ones out there in the fringe, but the wild-eyed, 'Take up your pitchforks and torches and march to the monsters house and kill him' is kind of ridiculous.
The fact is, bad shit happens in fucked up places. Libya, Syria, Pakistan, Yemen... bad shit happens at those places. Does it mean we spend millions of tax dollars to make those embassies and consulates fortresses?
Let the Congressional hearing take place... gather the facts and give us the truth.
Yes... it is a terrible tragedy and probably based upon a series of events that define the fucked-upped-ness of Washington, in general. But, we have endured greater tragedies... and in recent history.

For example, had this happened on President Mitt Romney's watch... does anyone really believe that Benghazi would as be a big thing as it is?

We were attacked that day in Libya. The deaths of Ambassador Stevens and his people were tragic. Nothing changes that and nothing brings them back. In death they deserve better than having their loss be used for political gamesmanship in this way. As always this Republican party has no shame.

now the republicans are floating the impeachment idea around. i hope they fucking do it. i hope to whatever supreme being in the universe that the gop impeaches obama over this. does anyone remember what happened when they impeached clinton last time? they lost the house by a landslide in the next election and did irreparable harm to their party. i dare the gop to impeach him. i triple dog dare them. they don't have the votes in the house, and the majority of americans do not want impeachment. they want the government to fucking legislate, like it is supposed to do.

My only problem is with using those families to advance a political agenda. The victims and their families meant nothing to Mitt Romney when he gave this statement. They mean nothing to the voices in Congress and FOX who continue to furiously beat this drum. These poor people are simply tools to be used, a means to an end. As I said, this Republican party has no shame.

Whistle-blowers were intimidated into silence.
Ambassador Stevens’ reason for going to Benghazi has been cleared up.
Clinton was briefed at 2 am on the night of the attack, was never told that a movie had anything to do with the attack by those on the ground in Libya, yet blamed the movie anyway.

The families are devastated. They have lost loved ones. It is natural and appropriate that they want to know what happened, that they may be desperate to have someone to blame. Anger is part of grieving.

They do not deserve to be used in this way, to have their grief exploited in this way.
