I often hear this when a child drowns in a backyard pool.... blah blah went into the house to make lunch... blah blah just went to answer the phone... blah blah just stepped away for a minute. wake the fuck up parents!! you CAN NOT leave your child in the vicinity of a pool without direct supervision. you CAN NOT leave your precious babies in the same frickin' room as a loaded weapon. WTF!? oh and who the fuck gives their 5 year old a frickin' deadly weapon for their birthday???? whats wrong with tonka trucks???

i guess you're ok with a company that's business plan is to market guns to kids? ... you do know that this kid didn't just find a gun and shoot it ... the gun was bought for this kid from a company that specifically makes guns for kids ...

yes I did and yes I am although 5 years old is a bit young and the Parents bought it for him and left in a corner of the room and left it loaded,my personal opinion is 5 years old is too young but he is not my son and I couldn't make the call on buying him a rifle, here's an interesting question; how many AMT members own guns and how old where you when you first fired a rifle or pistle ? me...I was 12 years old and my dad took me hunting and I fired he 30-30 winchester and folling year I was given my first rifle a 7.7 jap sniper rifle..awesome weapon !

i have no interest in guns ... although i do play video games where i am happy to shoot my friends in the head! ... ...

i do find this debate funny tho ... on one hand - i think the gun supporters refusal to regulate gun ownership absurd ... here in canada you need to take and pass a safety course and then get a license ... not sure why making sure guns don't get into the wrong people's hands is such a bad thing ... you can still have your guns ... on the other hand - opponents of guns seem to think more regulation is gonna curb gun violence ... that i also find absurd ... the problem isn't the laws, the problem is you live in a place where violence is seen as an acceptable means to resolve disputes ...

in any case - i find it disgraceful that a company's business is to market guns to kids ... 5 years old man? ... giving a 5-year old kid a gun for their bday is just irresponsible on everyone's part ...

Yes of course, small children are brainwashed, desensitized playing hours and hours
of violent games.
Now a young child learning target practice for future sport would be an entirely different
scenario with a much different result.

As I said I thought 5 is young also to learn gun sportsmanship but I do not automatically assume
those children in the pictures are not learning to be responsible gun owners
as anti gun people do,
assuming the worse of gun owners to nauseam.

Also as I stated personal responsibility is taught by parents who understand what that means.
This makes all the difference in gun ownership and in all the above examples I sighted.
It's obvious the parents raising children under those examples are not good parents
and they might not even own a gun. The outrage should be towards towards bad parents
not guns.

so you really think that shooting real guns doesn't desensitize people but shooting fake guns does? I believe that both do the same thing. you say that anti-gun people assume the worst of gun owners but you seem to withhold any judgement when a gun owner does anything wrong.

can you answer one question, should kids at the age of 5-18 be given guns to shoot?

People are aways the problem ...
how do we know this? because not all people use guns irresponsibly quite the contrary.
Just as we know bad parenting comes in all forms nothing what so ever to do with guns.
Because a gun is in a life does not make that life bad.
But of course gun opponents can not separate guns from situations.
They will always assume the worst as we see time and again. These children pictured here
a prime example, some assume they have bad parents although those parents are teaching
personal responsibility to their future sportsmen.
