it'll be nice to meet you in italy
Yes, that's me, very much a Jeff fan :D It'll be good to meet up but I'm only going to the Verona and Pistoia shows. I've a lot of travelling before the Verona show so might not make the meet up although I've made a note of the bars where people plan to meet. I'lll definately be at the Bar Duomo before (and after ) the Pistoia show...see you there.
One day the world will be ready for you
and wonder how they didn't see it...E

Four more days for us!!!!!!!!!! See you in Bologna, dreams!!!
going to meet there, and then go for dinner, drinks...whatever. any jammer in town and would like to join us...meet us there! of course, i will have my message pit button on my pursestrap, even have one that says decides2dream. haha.
either way, hope to meet many, many of you at the shows, all the post-show meet-ups, etc. italy doesn't know what we have in store for em!
emmm......me and my friend are (maybe... oh hell...yes we are!!!!!) going to bologna and from there to verona....so i was wondering if there was someone who could assist us with the drive ?!!!
'On the day of the opera (Aida, August 24th 2006) the weather was ok, but towards the evening the sky turned dark with clouds and about half an hour before the show could start it poured down rain like I haven´t seen it in years; everybody gotten completely soaked (imagine to jump into a pool with your clothes still on...kinda like that..) and people just ran for cover in the catacombs. The management had all the gates locked, though, so nobody could get outside and the crowd had no choice but to just stay on until the show would start. Some Italians gotten REALLY upset and started shouting at the General Manager of the place; he was shielded by his own private security...
Finally the musicians came out and the show was about to start and it started to rain again, so all the musicians jumped up and ran inside. This "game" happened FOUR times in front of a now freezing, wet crowd until the first act was finished.
Now why would they start over and over again if it was clear that it would start to rain again? (Constant lightning and thunder...) Why let soaking wet people sit there; old people and children who started sneezing and coughing after a while? Why not cancel the whole event?
Well, the answer is that if the first act was finished that there would be NO REFUND on the tickets; thus the crowd was "caged in" until that moment arrived; then we all got send home, soaking wet, freezing and ripped off...
Unfortunately, for all the great opera produced (the few parts we saw were very nice), this is just an example how greed wins over at the end, and that can not be blamed on the weather.'

Thankfully, every time I have been to the Arena the weather has been good.
Should be the same for this Saturday!
touch wood (or iron, as we say in Italy)
August has been bad weatherwise in Italy. But for saturday, the weather forecast is good. Rain for Milan though. And when it rains in Italy, it does rain. No drizzle like the UK. But the Forum is not open-air.

yeah, a quick check before leaving is a good idea - and hopefully, there won't be any need to pack waterproofs!
Lol, well it's not the waterproofs I'm worried about - I'm Irish, not too bothered about getting soaked
But... if it gets cancelled
Right gonna shut up now it won't and that's that

i'm packing now.
none of these places have dress codes do they? i'm guessing we can all turn up in our jeans and trainers after the gig no problem.
Hi,
Are you going to Bologna?
There's no dress code.
At least officially!! In Italy looks and appearance are important
