    Calexico, last night.
    Gary Louris, last week.
The Spring Standards, the night before that.

Soul Asylum and Joseph Arthur coming up soon. A good couple weeks of music! And then the Wilco fest later this month, and then three night of Old 97s album shows. Hot damn.

I saw Tomahawk at the Vic in Chicago last night. Amazing show... Mike Patton is such a great vocalist. The only downside was that it was too short of a setlist. They did do most of my favorites and tossed in a George Jones cover, so no complaints.

Saw FLAG last Thursday....Members of Black Flag (Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski, Dez Cadena, Bill Stephenson) plus Stephen Egerton (Descendents) playing BF tunes. They ripped it up. Recommended if you're into BF, Descendents, punk rock, or just watching dudes who are nearing age 60 do what guys half their age wish they could do.

The Tragically Hip in Utrecht and Amsterdam this last week. In my opinion Gordon was acting like a clown too much in Utrecht which, for me, took away a lot of the intensity of the show, so I didn't really get into the vibe there. The Amsterdam show on the other hand was absolutely amazing!!

Went to a bit of the 4Knots Music Festival at South St. Seaport in NYC the other day. Only caught The Babies and a bit of Parquet Courts cuz we wandered after that. But The Babies were a lot of fun and Parquet Courts were better live than what I have listed to studio, but still not my cup of tea.

No more shows for me until August 3, it's gonna be a looooong July!

I saw her at Mountain Jam, and she put on a great show. She covered Long Black Veil, which is one of my all time favorite songs. It gave me chills. Got to meet her at the artist signing tent afterwards and talk for a little bit since there was only a couple people over there.
