I cant see him every going back to play with Billy again. Billy wrote all the guitar parts and just told James what to play. That would get old for someone as talented as Iha.

Billy talked so much shit about him when he left.

    “piece of shit”

“one of the worst human beings I’ve ever met in my life.”

    “James Iha should feel alone.”

“Can we be safe, can I invite James Iha back over to my house and beg his forgiveness for him being an asshole? You know what I mean? [Sarcastically] I could. He’s playing in a band with my former guitar tech that’s what he’s doing.”

ouch. You know, i've had some bad blood with former musicians in the local scene, and i try to never talk bad about them. But this is just sad. Did Iha try to bang his wife/sister/mother or something?

I'm guessing James got sick of Billy and his shit...

So, he left to go and play with his friend Billy, ... Maynard James Keenan, and Josh Freese...

You know, I might have done that exact same thing. Wait, I would have done the same thing.

Yeah, really a no brainer. Wasnt the guy from APC also a guitar tech for NIN?

Indeed... Billy's main guitar is one of Trent's that he destroyed in concert

he was also the Tool guitar tech

    oops, my fault

“The only way I’ve seen [a broken guitar] is Trent hauling the thing 30 feet in the air, hitting the lighting truss, doing a triple pirouette into the stage and just shattering. I did buy new guitars constantly. I think the number was 137 Les Pauls working for Trent.”

“You learn how to fix them and save the tour some money. He let me take a couple of guitars at the end of the tour and I took the best sounding of the 137. That’s my main guitar.”

Absolutely the best indie show I've been to. Crowd was intense, and the band was on fire. Their singer just has this intensity that no other "indie" band singer can match.

It really not even up for debate after watching this:

Not the show I was at, but he did pretty much the same thing by climbing up to the 2nd floor.

Would have been way cooler if he actually played something in the balcony instead of just walk around. Still pretty cool for the crowd though.

True, but the fact that he let a fan or two take pictures on the 2nd level makes it even out IMO.

I'm a little jealous they got Blue Blood, but that stage looks smaller than T5's and Yannis was as able to go as ape shit. One week Ago.

oh...derp. Yea I thought you meant watching the whole glastonbury 2010 show.

I was hoping for blue blood and TLF, or both too. But If that meant playing one or two more antidotes songs its alright.

There was one i found once, one of there early performances and Yannis jumped into the crowd and someone took his sneaker off his foot, when he got back on stage he took the other one and threw at the guy mid song!

Not too familiar with the Foals i know they played philly right before this and i was tempted to go. Although to be honest i was more interested in one of the opening bands, Surfer Blood.

Hangout Fest this past weekend. What an amazing time! Saw Jim James, Macklemore, and The Shins on Friday, then camped out up front all day on Saturday and saw Shovels and Rope, Gov't Mule, Black Crowes, and Tom Petty from 2nd row dead center. I was in heaven. Then Sunday I saw The Revivalists first, and after talking to a guy for awhile he ended up giving me one of his extra VIP passes so I was able to go see them again when they did a VIP only show that afternoon. Rest of the day I saw Grouplove, Galactic, Imagine Dragons, Ellie Goulding, Trey Anastasio Band.

Saw Slim Cessna's Auto Club last Saturday. An experiment well worth the EUR 15 I paid to see them ;-)

Next is the Boss in Nijmegen on 22 June. Can't wait!
