They were children when they recorded it ;)

But to carry on with "Blast from the Past" theme... ever heard of this one?

KROQ and the "Get Off The Air" Controversy
1979, Mike Saunders, Turner and Homer wrote an infamous song about longtime LA/Hollywood scenemaker and KROQ-FM DJ Rodney Bingenheimer , titled "Get Off the Air". When the song was included on the band's first record Inside My Brain, the Samoans were blacklisted at the Starwood, Whisky a Go Go , and other clubs in the Hollywood/LA area from mid-1980 through late 1982, seemingly due to Bingenheimer's strong influence with the LA/Hollywood club scene.

Sometime you have to suffer through the art for some music. It sets the tone...difficult at times.
I remember staring at my brothers if you want blood you got it with angus puking blood...it looks pretty real to a 10 year old.
Ozzys speak of the devil scares some kids. Another blood puking cover...it looks more like jello...speaking of jello-dead Kennedy's with pictures of starving kids...I guess some of us like to be disturbed. It awakens some part of my mind that is usually chill.
Like a gwar show. So bad and tremendously wrong...yet unforgettable in many ways, I'm a better person for it....Dig the horror of it all...unless its real.

Never heard this one. Just have their self titled one. Still spin it now and then. Sure I'd recognize some songs on this. Saw them a couple times in the last 20 years. Pretty sure last time I saw them I trashed my back.
Mike!!! Mike!!! Whats amatter with you, youre not thinking youre on drugs!!! No pepsi for you.

Ice-T covered that song a few years ago. It is listenable but I prefer the original.

  • I have the EU pressing and the run out information on each side
    A - This One Took a WhileB - Eat Your VeggiesC - 86-45-2020!

    EtchingD - Is This You?

Also on the run out for the three sides are
B0031607-01-A, B0031607-01-B and B0031607-01-B however the spine's catalog number is 00602508630231. The labels display some text Made In the EU. I am curious with the US pressings or other pressing from other Continents.

BTW this record sounds really good to listen and I couldn't get the CD when it was released last week due to the C-19 lock down I was lucky to have purchased the pre-order of this album when it was announced. I am on my third spin.

Those with the Gigaton vinyl, check your side 4 etching, and see what it says. Have already seen 2 different, just wondering if its a EU vs US thing or if there are lots of variants.
Mine has the 6th variant etched on Side 4.

    So I have seen:

and - In The Midst Of The 6th

    Anymore?

Does yours have Made in the EU on the labels?
    What is your runout information?
Definitely two pressings of these, wondering if there are 2 cuts.

Sorry it's "In the midst of the 6th," I mis-typed that earlier.

Yea, I figured. I think only 2 version are out there. I'm still looking for someone in Europe to post their runout information, so I can see if there are 2 different cuts. I will be chasing down an EU version anyway, since they're definitely different pressings.

You should have a few more numbers also in the runouts, EU copies were pressed in Germany.
