I just learned right now that you need to cook them for a good 45 minutes to remove toxins that will give you diarrhea, at best. I figure that this is useful info for those of us whoever get lost in the woods or qualify for Aline or whatever.

That is interesting because as a kid I would eat a couple from the tree and they are nasty.

Yeah! Way to go. I'm getting a few cucs. Tomatoes slow to ripen. Soon. My seeds I just planted a couple weeks ago are not doing much yet.  Haven't been to my plot to check it out in about a week.

Mice, I'm 99% sure are chowing on some of my tomatoes. Starting to pick while still a little green so they might not chew then all. I planted enough for them to eat a little.

Yes! My bud suggested 'sungold variety and I picked up these  'tidy treats' very small and bursting with flavor. Great time of year. Enjoy

It's the time for toms

massive scarlet runner beans. Grow them for the hummingbirds. Love the flowers. Snapped one off and tasted good. Canning them up now with a dill pickling mix. Added some garlic, dill and hot peppers. It's a blast and an art putting sh.t I grow in a jar. 
Should be great. I tried doing pickles with my cucumbers. Never get it right.

I did pickling cucumber once with chillies I sliced them like burger pickle to fit more in. It worked well but only did it once
