I actually think he said that because he's an idiot, not because he was taking a bullet, but maybe. And I didn't believe his dumb story about the water either. He knew he wouldn't be able to do it, and obviously, from the way he tried to claim he threw that other challenge, he cannot handle losing like a normal person. So he came up with the stupid childhood trauma story so that he wouldn't have to show everyone just how useless he really is physically.

He wouldn't have come close in that challenge. But that's what makes him the Specialist, he knows when to strike and when to lay low. Like I said it took a monumental occurrence to get him out.

Agreed. I don't know how anyone could possibly find that guy entertaining, unless they enjoy feeling annoyed. He is definitely NOT one of those players I love to hate. I am just sorry I have to see him talk in the finale.

Too bad Malcom went home, I was hopin he would win. I think he was looking in the wrong spot for the idol. I think it will be more near the beach and this tree that is growing out of the rock will really be evident when you see it.

Yeah, bummer. Of whose left I'm hoping Reynold or Malcom win. Certainly hoping it's not Dawn or Cheri, who have done absolutely nothing in the game. I think Andrea is the biggest threat left from a strategic standpoint, she basically forced Malcom to not search for the idol (genius but a huge bitch move).

I guess I'm just rooting for Cochrane now. And I'd be okay with Brenda winning I guess.

Tribal Council was EPIC! All 3 pulled out an idol and they all played them. Not sure what the Andrea/Dawn group's thinking was...did they think Malcom, Eddie and Reynold were all bluffing or did they want them to all vote Phillip so they wouldn't have to, but still be on Phillip's 'good side' when it comes down to the Final 3?

That was totally the smart play. If they changed their vote at tribal council there would have been a chance that the guys were bluffing. And if they bluffed they would have had another tribal council to use their idols. This way you force them to play them. Now if Malcolm/eddie/reynold were smart they would have cast one vote for phillip, one for Andrea, and one for say Dawn, and then watch the alliance fall apart on the revote.

I think the most overrated player in Survivor history is probably Boston Rob. I mean the guy is good, but he acts like he is the perfect player, when in reality it took him 4 tries to win the million (5 if you count the fact that he didn't win the million dollar people's choice awards in the original all stars). And the only reason he did win the million dollars is because the last time he played they put him on a tribe mostly filled with idiots who were easy to manipulate, and they reformatted the game to play to his strengths.

A close runner up for most over rated player would be Russel Hantz. The guy thinks he is the most strategic genius the show has ever seen, when in reality he is just the jerk that everyone wants to take to the end because they know he can't win.

yeah, so Cochrine knew that Eddie voted for Phillip, I think he will be out pretty soon-he didn't really piss anybody off, so he's like a neutral vote, people would vote him over anybody else. Unless he's still flying under everybody's radar.

Andrea definitely needs to go, I guess I'm rooting for Brenda. Cochrine is getting a big ego.

Malcolm is an idiot. He cut off his nose to spite his face giving away his 2nd idol last week. Then this week he gets the clue and won't keep looking because Andrea is there. Just keep looking and find it. Who cares if Andrea knows? He should've been sitting on 2 more idols this week. See ya!! Go Cochran!!

I read on another site that in reality he did try to look at it but he couldn't find it. Plus everytime he started digging Andrea would get down and start digging right next to him. And really unless he could get a couple of people to flip, finding the idol was pointless since it would have just meant Eddie would have gone home and he would go home next week. So I think his effort was better spent trying to get people to switch. Although I think at this point even that would be stupid, since if you flip on the core alliance now, even if you can get rid of them, it just means you piss off the majority of the jury.

I don't know the way I see it there are two options spend your time searching for the idol, or spend your time trying to get people to flip. Best case scenario with option 1 is that you find the idol and you are forced to play it, one of your alliance guys goes home and you go home next week. Best case scenario with option two is you get Dawn/Eric/Sandra Bullock look-alike with bad implants to flip and you actually change the game. Worst case scenario with option 2 isn't much worse than best case scenario with option 1.

And worst case scenario with option 1 is that Andrea follows you around and she finds the idol they vote you out and have even more power.

Plus like I said according to interviews Malcolm actually tried digging for the idol and couldn't find it.

So do you think Malcom should have kept looking for the idol even with Miss Priss watching? If she found the idol, do you think they would have voted her to flush it out? We all know if Malcom found it, they would have flushed it from him, but then again the rest of the votes could have gotten rid of Andrea and then Malcom could have spent time getting some of the others to flip.

I would have kept looking foir the idol and don't care if Andrea saw me find it or not. They were gonna vote him off anyways, so what does it matter if she saw him find it. I thought it was dumb on his part to stop looking, although I think he was looking in the wrong spot.

Good thing for PVR or I would have had a huge dilemma tomorrow. My fav sports team finally made the playoffs after a 9 yr absence and they start tomorrow and no way I'm missing that...Survivor or not :)

The as I have said is that what wasn't shown on camera is that he did keep looking. As far as Malcolm getting other people to flip, I think at best he had a super tiny chance of that happening. If he had spent all his time digging and no time trying to talk to people he would have had no chance of getting anyone to flip (because Reynold and Eddie aren't really skilled at getting people to align with them).

As far as if he did find it , it would have happened the same way as it did this time in tribal. Three votes for Andrea, three for Malcolm and three for Reynold. Malcolm plays the idol and on revote all 6 people who didn't vote for Andrea vote for Reynold. Like I said there is almost no chance of getting those 6 people to flip. Even the dumbest of them know that if you flip now, you have no hope of convincing a jury to give you the million (because the jury would be the 6 people you burned).

Plus even if he did find the idol and get to stay I don't see Malcolm going on some crazy challenge run. He has never really been any kind of challenge monster. He didn't win any individual challenges this season and he only won 2 individual immunity challenges last season.

Also why the hate for Andrea. I think she is one of the better players of the last few seasons. I mean she is strong in challenges, is actually knows how to play a strategic game (in her first season she was the only one in the merged tribe who figured out that they need to try to get rid of Boston Rob while everyone else was kissing his ass). Plus she is probably one of the hottest women to ever play survivor.

They got rid of Andrea! They got rid of Andrea! I loved how they totally blindsided her, she's so narcissistic. She knows the guys turn into bumbling fools around her so she uses it to her advantage, Cochrine finally figured it out and was all on board with getting her out. Her reaction was priceless!

I think the final 3 will be Brenda, Sherry (Sandra Bullock look-alike), and Erik.

    .
I don't know...the first All Stars he was runner up and only lost due to jury bitterness....Amber should not have been the winner, she rode his coat tails...he dominated that season in every possible way, challenges (Physically dominating Colby in one, building a good shelter when Rupert built his in the tidal pool), strategy, everything.

I'd say his only bad showing was his first season when he took the wrong approach, he learned from it and has been one of the better players all time since then.

Wow did Dawn show what a bitch she is. I certainly hope Dawn doesn't get in the final 3, but if she does get ready for Brenda to blast her with her question, and rightfully so. I think if Eddie gets in it's a lock he wins. He's got Malcom, Michael, and Reynolds vote for sure, and probably Andrea's. I think Sherri and Dawn have no shot and I hope neither of them win.

That was cold blooded but if Cochran doesn't do it, he's probably gone next week. It's the nature of the beast. I don't understand why these people give up these family rewards. You won. Enjoy your reward because as you can see from last night, good deeds mean nothing in this game.

Dawn is just plain crazy. Flipping out because she lost the chance to be with her loved one. I mean, it was Brenda's original intent to pick her because she knew Dawn was having a hard time and they had an alliance. Better to make 4 people happy than to make only 2 people happy and have 4 people suffer.

    I'm rooting for Eddie.

Dawn is just plain crazy. Flipping out because she lost the chance to be with her loved one.

I couldnt agree more. Especially after her episode with her dropping her teeth in the water, I have noticed more and more how friggin nuts she is. There had been a few incidents with her being way over the top emotional. So Brenda saves her teeth when Dawn was having a COMPLETE meltdown over it, she said how she would never forget what Brenda did for her. she made a HUGE deal over it and how much it meant to her.
Then she was so bitter and pissed off at Brenda for what happened at the reward challenge, that she wanted to vote her out as payback. Its so stupid too- they are in the last few days out there, and Dawn got to see and hug her husband...it was only going ot be a few days at most until it was all over. Her wailing and crying while Brenda was making a decision was so over the top as well...I am sure it was meant to try and guilt trip Brenda into keeping things as they were so they could go on reward with thier family members. Then they go back to camp and she just sits there pissed off and bitching, crying. Ugh. I wanted to punch her in the throat. If you wanted that reward so bad, then YOU SHOULD HAVE WON THE CHALLENGE!

It seriously pissed me off that she acted that way. She had NO emotion at tribal when Brenda went home. Thats supposed to be her GIRL!! And she only had immunity, I think, because Brenda didnt try as hard as she could because she figured she was safe with Dawn.
    Makes much more sense...

I mean, it was Brenda's original intent to pick her because she knew Dawn was having a hard time and they had an alliance. Better to make 4 people happy than to make only 2 people happy and have 4 people suffer.

    I'm rooting for Eddie.
Yeah, Dawn really came off like a bitch. Hope she's next to go. I'm really sorry Brenda was voted off... Now I'm rooting for Cochran. If he goes, I don't think I'll care who wins.

I totally forgot about the teeth! Brenda has gone over and beyond to help Dawn, and I didn't think Brenda should have given up the immunity-she's such a strong player physically. You gotta watch your back when it comes down to the last few days.

Watch, they will all be smiles and buddy-buddy on the reunion show.
