    Definitely this thread would have been a page or two longer if it was maga. Some should pump the brakes on how our party aren't hypocrites as well.

    Looking forward to when Democrats have the majority, yet again, and pass common sense gun reform and ban assault weapons.

    You can condemn every shooting and every shooting IS bad, but we can also acknowledge that when it originates from someone from a marginalized community, the torches come out and is used as a reason why that community should be ostracized. And yes thats what happens when its a conservative male, but also, they aren't a marginalized community they just think they are.

Introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein a month after the shootings, the bill banned the sale of more than 150 specific firearm models as well as magazines that held more than 10 rounds of ammunition. Although there was widespread public support for more restrictive gun laws, the bill was defeated 60–40 in the Senate. Another bill, the so-called Manchin-Toomey proposal (named for Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Republican Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania), would have mandated criminal background checks for firearm sales over the Internet or at gun shows. The bipartisan legislation was backed by a clear majority in the Senate, but the 54 “yeas” fell short of an agreed 60-vote threshold and the proposal was rejected. A measure to restrict the sale of “large capacity ammunition feeding devices” (magazines that held more than 10 rounds of ammunition) was rejected 54–46. Although these initiatives failed at the federal level, similar bills were signed into law in the states of New York, Connecticut, Colorado, and Maryland.
