    I guess not!
Why is that Into The Wild LP so pricey?? Was it signed or coloured or something? I just bought that new for $30 or something like that online, from one of those record companies that sell on eBay.

I'm guessing the ITW was the first press and not the re-issue. Reissue goes for $30, first price for a hell of alot more.

Does anyone know if the postcards, specifically the ones that haven't appeared on the Mark5 site yet, sold out at the convention?

I would assume they didn't, I don't they are that highly sought after compared to all the other stuff that was there.

Yeah, I know you see no difference between the manufacturer/creator selling it as opposed to a flipper on eBay, but there is a difference, just like there is a difference between TM selling a high priced ticket and a scalper selling it for triple. Yeah, of course flippers sell to fans - I just meant the first come, first serve 10c members. Do not expect you to agree DS!

Absolutely disagree. Selling a product for 10x what it originally sold for is absolutely no different. WHo cares if they are the "original" seller? Who cares who they sold it to? The fact is is they took a product that what forever reason is worth stupid money and profited from it. Good for them. They should have sold them for more.

I really wish some people around here would take off there rose colored sunglasses and see things the way they are.

I suppose it comes down to a question of morals on 10c selling Benny at $400. Yes its below the price people are paying on ebay for it. But they originally sold this for $40 and have kept at least 20 back. And now decide to sell them at 10 times the original price. Is that morally right? I'd say no. But really I don't care. Its their choice and the consumers choice. I wouldn't buy it for $400 or $800. It doesn't hold an appeal to me like the majority of people in the forum.

I don't think 10C gives a shit about $400 or $40. I think their motivation was that it is less likely someone would flip it if the price they paid was higher. they are still getting a STELLAR deal compared to current prices in the secondary market. It was only 1/3 of the price that is usual for this set now.

The prices on their back catalogue was insanely low. Lost Dogs and Binaural especially were a STEAL. Curious they had no Reviewmirrors.

so had they sold them for $40 instead of $400 you would have had people first in the door snatching them up whether they wanted them or not just to make a $1160 profit. People who paid the $400 to keep them are happier than pigs in shit.

just because we don't necessarily find fault in what the club did in this situation doesn't mean we are drinking the Santos kool-aid my friend.

It just occurred to me that If I ever have enough money for a sealed Benny ($1200), I will think back to this convention and say - You idiot, for a bit over $1200 you could have gone to Seattle and bought it for $400 and had a nice vacation in the proces...

Which ones has he sold on his site? He is sold out of Phoenix, this I know. He only had a couple of each left.

    $400 is cheap

I would prob buy it aswell for that price but to call a 400$ 4LP box cheap? Well... :?

Well there was only 2000 (4 vinyl record set) made. If there were 10,000+ made that wasn't numbered selling for $400 bucks, that would be a whole different story.

So far he's sold Las Vegas, Phoenix and Albuquerque on the site. Hoping that some of the Florida ones make it to the site.

Just curious... What 1998 posters if any were sold yesterday at the show?
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

FYI - About 300 people came through the poster convention.

    300? That's it? That can't be right.

And how many of those were there just for the 10C stuff (and more finitely - the hope of a Benny) and not even the actual point of the thing?

If this number is even in the vicinity of true, it's not rocket science why they tour some places and not others. A FREE convention they put on gets 300 people.

My son's pre-school play got more interest.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Just Vegas, Phoenix, and Albuquerque. He was supposed to be listing them for sale in groups of 3. We'll have to wait and see what happens now.
