    Chicago dibs

Go give it a look if you want a good laugh.
Its 10 minutes of someone driving up and down Chicago streets after a heavy snowfall.
The stuff people use to secure their shoveled parking spots is HYSTERICAL.
OMG. People would be shot if you did that here, HA!.  To think that the Mayor agreed to this nonsense shows the insane were running the asylum.

Is that still a thing there?

Dibs, lol. I did watch some videos.  One news anchor did a skit where he shoveled out spots in a parking lot.  That was funny.
    Its still a thing.
And will forever be a thing in Chicago.
You steal someone else's shoveled spot?
    Good luck. Hahaha

    ^^^^

    What great to me?
I instantly recognized the neighborhoods he was driving thru. That big ass city, and its the exact neighborhood I spent my 1st 40 years of life.

  • Lawn furniture and couches on the streets of Chicago has been a winter tradition for 50 years.

And assholes getting their antennas snapped off, or having salt poured in their gas tanks has also been a Chicago tradition.

Not that I would ever condone such actions.
    Im just stating the facts.
    That is pure insanity.
Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer

And the city will broadcast, on the local news,  the exact date when the garbage trucks are going to pick up all the junk on the streets. But your good as long as the snow is still on the streets!

    Its Chicago at its finest!

In Boston a few years back they made it a city ordinance that you could have a "space saver" and claim the spot you shoveled out for 48 hours after the snow emergency expired. Which will be 8:00 PM tonight. Before that it was same as in Chi-town, steal someone's spot and prepare to face the consequences, usually either slashed tires or keyed panels.

People use all kinds of things as space savers, most often lawn/beach chairs, but old toilets have been seen and traffic cones of course. Once this ordinance went into effect, the supposed rule is the city will collect any space savers left after the 48-hour window expired, so some residents got smart and used stuff they needed to dispose of anyway and the city unknowingly helped them out.
    This weekend we rock Portland

LOL. We do not have issues with parking as we are in the suburbs. But it is still a shit show outside with all the snow and ice. You can find a parking spot but you must walk carefully. Have not left the house in four days. It is fucking cold!

We are big fans of condo/townhouse living. I have a snow shovel and a weed wacker but have not touched them in 15 years! And it is still fucking cold 17 degrees.

    Moving to Florida
I saved my tool box, with whatever hand tools fit.
I saved a nice Milwaukee drill.
Another box with bits, nuts, bolts, drywall screws, picture hangers. And other various CRAP.

But everything else got tossed or given to my friend "Bobby Boy"
All gas and electric lawn shit
    Lawn mower
    Snow blower

    All that shit got tossed.
As i will never mow a lawn, wack a weed, plant anything, shovel snow, etc.
    Ever the fuck again.
    Never.

Every man needs a tool box and a junk box. We have been here for 20 years and I cannot go to Home Depot and not buy something. So I have more tools than a normal person ever needs. Why would I need a hatchet? I do not.
