    The snow is nice, but it is effing cold! 17F at the moment and supposed to be this way all week. I am starting to understand why older folks move to warm temps. I still love the cold but this winter has been harsh.

    I will never ever travel up North during the Winter months again. I have informed her family I'll see them the week of the 4th of July.
    Ill get a lakefront condo for the week, and they can all stay or just visit.
    But Thanksgiving or Christmas? Unless they come down here? They won't be seeing me.

    Thanks, I think Seattle will win but hopefully it will be as good as the last time those teams were in the Super Bowl in 2015.

    We got about 14-16 inches in the Pittsburgh PA area.  The real slap in the face is the crazy low temps for the next week.  I need new tires.

    All is well. But it will probably be a few days before we venture out in the car. Still snow on the roads and piles and piles of plowed snow 10-20ft high. No joke. They are melting a bit during the day but freezing right away creating rivers of ice. We have power we have food, we are fine. It has been a brutal winter here in NY, but we we were due. My power bill is really hurting this year!

    Ridiculous.
    About 18 inches on the ground this morning.  Huge drifts in places. Plow guy did his normal pile at end of driveway, thankfully got help with that from a neighbor with a plow. Then snowed light all day, ramped up again at night. Have shoveled in the back for the dog twice more this evening and just now, probably 4-6 more inches and that will be waiting for me out front and on the cars in the morning. And hey, it's still f'ing snowing.
    If I didn't have a kid still in college, I'd be your next-door neighbor right now.

    I spent a couple hours yesterday watching The Weather Channel. I feel bad for people in Tennessee and Mississippi who have NO IDEA how to deal with snow, ice, cold, etc. They are just overwhelmed.

    Im watching people in Tennessee with downed power lines, no heat, just a fucking disaster.

    I'm guessing a Carribean cruise sounds pretty good to them right about now.
