I should explain... i've been ill for a few days and GString recommended red wine... as red wine is a good thingy for getting rid of illnesses... so she became my Doctor.
now I know she may not be an actual doctor but any prescription involving booze as a remedy makes her a medical genius in my eyes... like a slightly older Doogie Howser MD
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
What are everyone's thougths on when to start queing and if so are people meeting in the queue?
i had it all once i gave it back

If you want to queue, then get there early...
...and hold a place for everyone that's meeting in The george 'round the corner!
Seriously though, It's been a looooooooong time since I queued early for a gig, but I think any time around 1 or 2 would be good to get towards the front.
depends on the age range of the fans. If there are lots of younger fans, then there may be a lot queuing early, but older fans tend to go to the pub before.
A question of getting to the front or meeting up with some PJ folks so I won't be a billy no mates! Toughy!!
I think I will sleep on it!
one thing I do know is that I am mighty excited about Thursday night!
i had it all once i gave it back

I'm gonna queueueueueueue at around 5pm i think... bottle of red in hand and with the Astoria being so small anyway we'll be closer than any Stadium gig... it's gonna be fuckin amazing isn't it????
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
Yeah, wouldn't think we need to queue too early would we?

I'm going to join the queue at around 5ish. While I queue I plan to eat a takeaway from Dionysys as their sausage and chips rule! I don't want front row (am going to grab merch, go to the cloakroom and go to the bar before going in the crowd, but I hate being squeezed against the rail at the front, prefer to jump around a little at around the 10th row - mccready's side!
Yea, I got my ticket! Yea, I'm meeting ya'll at the George! AND, I would like to add my profile to the blogg so if anyone would be so kind and forward the password to me...........?? See you there! 2 days for christ sake! TWO DAYS :D:D
Usually the age limit is 14 or 16. Nothing tight.
If it's 18 it'd say on the ticket or when you ordered. The 10c winners have to be 18+, probably due to club T+C, but public tickets is 14/16. Never been to an 18+ gig at the astoria.

I found the following info on Astoria on Ticketmaster:
No under 14s.
Under 16s must be with someone over 18.
Over 18s only for club nights (GAY night, after Pearl Jam)
I am over 16, 17 in September to be exact, and I'm with someone over 18. So I should be fine.
I looked at the info for the Seether gig at the Astoria, and it was exactly the same as above. Brisk and I will be okay I reckon.

As long as you have a ticket and aren't 7 or 8 you'll get in. Quite frankly, if you have a ticket they're not gonna turn you away. I've been going to gigs there since I was 14/15 and I never had a problem.
