they dont try at all. I can understand the lack of touring with age, but then again their are older bands out there touring way more.

The 10C is a complete joke. they guarentee shit and dont deliver anything on time. With how much money PJ makes, its sad. Either offer it and deliver, or dont offer it at all.

Its one of the reasons why I stopped posting here and dont listen to them as much for the most part, oh and by the way, im not even an active 10C member, its just a gltich in their system allowing me to be here. The second I buy something from them, it recognizes that I cant post here and cancels it. This happened to me last time and then I started a new 10c account (2 years ago). I just havent bought anything since.

Eddie kicked Dave A out of a band for wanting some extra money, yet you have to pay to post here. So basically, your not a real fan if you dont pay.

I appreciate all of their music, and love them for that. hell, if they release a great next album, Ill probably see them live again. But anything about them that goes past the music, I dont care anymore. Especially their fan club.

Sorry to see any one leave thats been with us for some time. I hear where your comming from. I love the friends Ive made in the 10 club. The people who work for the 10 club aren't half bad either.

Its just I think people are getting upset with the 10 club and getting hotter tempers is because the 10 club does not communicate with us.

Im pretty done with people saying they cant say what the band did for them or the 10 club acting like they are entitled because they work with the band and are taking the "its fun to know some thing the public dont approach"

I understand not talking about their real personal stuff like close family secrets. But when it comes to things being sold in the shop or if there is a chance of a added date just communicate with us.

How hard is it to say we are working on the holiday single and we are aiming for a July release. Communication can solve a lot of problems and cool people down. I guess it all comes down to how much they realy care about us as fans or how much they now look at us as customers.

Being a 10 club member used to have a family feel. Now its starting to feel like that baby that gets stamped on the head in the Evolution video :D

Sorry for the rant. Im tired and bored ;)

Whats the point of trolling forum to just crack on people? Do you really think i care about grammer or spelling on a forum?...lol Now if i was at work writing a test script or presenting a business proposal, that would something to knock me down for...lol anyway...just disagree and engage in the conversation.

where do i start?

1. it was a joke.
2. you're not your.. 2nd word into your rant.
3. grammar not grammer... spelling counts.
4. it was clearly a joke.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
• I was just reading all the posts on the forum, and there is such a negative tone.
I am starting feel the same way about the band. I been with them since 94. It just seems they never tour the states anymore and are out for the money , for example ...playing only festivals or doing just Europe and South America. South America is a money grad for any band ( specially less popular or irrelevant bands).
They do tour the states. They will tour the states next year.
They don't tour as often anymore - wich can be explained easily.
They didn't tour Europe for 6 years and focused on the states (when they were toruing), now we have been lucky (Europe as a whole, Sweden has gotten 1 show in 12 years) for a while.
Then ed cancels American solo tour, cause of his back, but then goes on a European tour soon after? im not doubting he was hurt,,but seems strange. Also alot of people lost money on that deal, with airfare, hotels..ect.
"Soon after" is how you look at it. Having enought time to heal up is how Ed and his doctors looked at it. It's not strange at all.
The 2011 xmas package comes in 2013?
This is no excuse for. Both the 10C and PJ sucks ass for this.
The band never comes on the forum or participates in anything , unless they want u to help them with a cause or to buy their stuff.
They don't have to, and are from a different era pre-internet-craze.
They tried something like this with the radioshow they had. Mike is more activbe than the rest. But this is not a priority to them - and is their choice.

More activity on the site from them would be cool (isn't Dace Grohl quite active on the Foo website?) but you can't really blame them for focusing on other things than social media...
The last 3 records were ok, but very few moments that inspired you emotionally. Don't be a super fan...and really be honest with yourself.... You might agree.
This is your opinion and completely irrelevant.
But, I happen to think Riot Act is their best album. A "grown up" album which was promising something great for the future, then they wanted to act like kids again and made Avocado which was kind of dull and forced... and then Backspacer which... just sucks.

Well elaborate on this.

Sure will. Look when I was 18 and in high school and the first time I heard Ten it changed my life forever. They will always have a special place in my heart and I will always love them. I have the freaking stickman tatoo for crying out loud and I love it. All I'm saying is that I always thought PJ was in it for the fans, but I'm not so sure anymore. Here is a list of what I love about Phish.

A band that tours the US constantly
Soundboard boots 1 hour after the show. 1 hour!! (Yeah I'm talking to you PJ20)
45-60 dollar ticket prices (paid 96 for PJ at MSG)
No fanclub memership
Killer fucking light show
I can go to 4 shows in a row and not hear one repeated song (love hearing Alive every show i go to....not. that's lazy to me) Plus Phish plays much longer then our beloved PJ
Live webcast shows all the time. (just saw thier 3 night run from the comfort of my couch the last 3 nights on my 52 inch flat screen TV... no line for the bathroom)
Did I mention I can hear any show live 1 hour after the show through their app at no cost (oh my bad.. I paid $1.99 for the app)
Oh yeah...the boot is FREE when you buy a ticket

Look I know there are not many Phish fans around here and if you don't like their music that is perfectly fine with me and I get it. I'm not trying to say Phish is a better band. All I knowis that Phish cares way more about it's fans then PJ does.

Thats awsome!!!!!! Thats what im talking about!!!!!!

Assuming you're totally correct on this-- and who am I to say you're not?-- isn't a band first about the music? We had a similar discussion on the Paul Westerberg site- a lot of people are pissed that he only puts out stuff very sporadically and not in the format some would like and doesn't connect much with fans any more- but the general consensus is that we were lucky to have PW/Replacements music when we did and figure he doesn't really owe us a thing. We don't own the band.

Yes it is all about the music. No doubt! I guess I'm being selfish and would like to see PJ tour more and give back to their fans a little more. Really it's been one year and no PJ20 boots yet? to me that is ridiculous and a joke. I've been chasing Wash since my first show in 96 and I finally got it it night 2. it was a magical night for me. I don't know where I'm going with this but all I know when I am pumped about a Phish show I know it will be available to me when I wake up in the morning.
What I think is that it would be so much better if you went to the Phish fan club and talked about how great you think they are instead of coming here and using it as a statement about how PJ isn't as good. That would just be a much more positive and enjoyable experience for everyone including yourself, no? :) The route you seem to have chosen so far is just a downer for everyone. It's like going to a great restaurant where everyone is enjoying their food, it's their favorite place, and spouting off about how this other place down the street makes the delicious food everyone has in their mouth seem like dog shit by comparison.
You know what I do. And PJ gets mad respect on Phish boards because they realize how influential PJ has been over the years...even though it might not be their cup of tea. Unlike this place, where if you dare say how another band might be better or do things differently than PJ you get attacked. Phish has been around 30 years and has a die hard following!! Respect that if you like the music or not!!
Sooo true. I once mentioned this seatle band The Head and The Heart and got crucified.

It's not about mentioning other bands AT ALL. If you want to talk about other bands, then go to the Other Music forum and go nuts. Lots of people over there are talking about all the other music they love. But why post in The Porch, where it's supposed to be all about Pearl Jam, and bad talk them by comparing them to another band?? Come on... I think you must understand the difference.

As long as we're correcting each other...Phish is spelled Fish.

Here you go, I'll use it in a sentence...

Fish fans make the best fans for cooling off the fans that like Fish.

So, there you go. End of discushion!
