Love Nick Cave. I wish there were more eccentric artist like him and Tom Waits around. He has such a grand way with words and imagery. He makes other artist look like they ain't even trying.

Hopefully one day I'll get to see a show of his.

The Lawless soundtrack is pretty good (Mark Lanegan appears on a few tracks) and I'm looking forward to the movie too.

Me! Me! For sure. He doesn't tour nearly enough. Few years since I've seen him play now. :(

He's quite the Renaissance Man, which is fine by me; I like talented people, but I wish he would tour more too. I've only seen him once, which is definitely not enough. :)

I think he tours a lot more consistent in Europe and Australia then America.. I wish when he played in the states it would be a bunch of more cities (including philly :D ).. I saw him in Adelaide, AUST in 2007 but missed grinderman in 2011

I was reading Damien Echols' Reddit AMA yesterday, and he said Nick Cave. That's about all I have to contribute to this thread. He's on my list of artists to check out, but I haven't gotten to him yet.

:o I would start with The Best of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. That's how I became OBSESSED. Tender Prey and Kicking Against The Pricks are good starting points too, but KATP is a covers album. Many people would probably say to start with The Birthday Party, who are very cool, but a bit too hardcore for me at times. I prefer the Bad Seeds myself...

Fine, I've bumped him up on my list and am acquiring a solid collection of his music right now.
