This album is okay, does not blow me away like their previous works.
I think the reviews on here are a bit over the top.
I am speaking to some friends now, they are not overly impressed.
Too short, riffs boring, the quiet songs sound like Cornell solo work is what they say.
I agree to an extent. I am not saying it is terrible, just not as good as what you all make it to seem.
I have listened to it 3 times now so I am not being quick to make a review.

Listened to the album today and HOLY CRAP I am so blown away. This just straight up rocks. In your face SG, just how I like it!! This record is massive. The only song I'm not too big on is Rowing. Other than that, absolutely tremendous record!
I just finished listening to the album and I totally agree with you. Rowing isn't doing it for me either, but I've only listened to it the one time so I'm not going to write it off just yet.
The second half drags a little so I might have put the tracks in a different order but I really like the album.
We'll see after a few more listens if my opinion changes.
No love for Rowing? Right now it's one of my favorites on the album, such a catchy, interesting groove and the lyrics stick in my head.
I don't hate it, just hasn't caught on for me yet and IMO is not as strong as my initial reaction to the rest of the album. Maybe it's a grower like joely_91 said!
Also HAVE A BLAST to everyone that has scored tickets to NYC, LA or Toronto! Lucky f'ers!

WTF why not the Kool Kaus? I HATE HATE HATE the Sound Academy!!
That said I'm soooo there!!!!! I know some security there too so gotta talk to them about smuggling me in if I get shut out.
You're not the only one that hates the Sound Academy. It's a little better now that I know a place to park for free, but still it's in the middle of freakin' nowhere. Kool Haus is still my favourite venue in this city; I'll never forget being in the front of the place for my first Nine Inch Nails show.
At least it should be easier to get tickets for these shows.
Been waiting to scream this out...SOUNDGARDEN at D.A.R. Constitution Hall in DC, Thu. 1/18! $59.50
I am coming home from seeing family in Israel early for this. GAHHH!!! Can't wait!
