First hit Chapman gives up to a LH batter all fucking year. Our bullpen is just fucking cursed. I'm also getting real fucking tired of our offense making the worst pitchers in baseball look like god damn Cy Young contenders. Wade fucking Miley? Dude's ERA was 5.23 before today's game and get 2 fucking hits in 7 innings against him?! Time to grow the hell up, Cubs!Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

I realize its only 1 game.HesCalledDyer said:First hit Chapman gives up to a LH batter all fucking year. Our bullpen is just fucking cursed. Already blown as many saves with us as he did NYY.
I realize Chapman is one of the best in the game.
But why does it feel that EVERY time the Cubs sign a big name player, the player instantly must get fitted for a "Dunce Cap"? Hahahaha
Alfonso Soriano comes to mind. The guy was a 40-40 guy when we signed him. The minute he got off the plane in Chicago? They fitted him with the " Dunce Cap" and he soon became a very overpaid, slightly above average player.

What angered me about this loss was that we specifically made this trade to avoid situations like this. Lead come the 8th or 9th inning was supposed to be automatic. I realize it's not going to be 100%, but im hoping this doesn't become the norm. Also not happy about Hendricks getting scratched tomorrow to insert a 6th starter.SPEEDY MCCREADY said:

So this bum coulda walked had we not brought him up. We shoulda let him walk. Not a fan of this 6th starter nonsense. These starting pitchers need to toughen up. Its disgusting how much they get coddled. You are getting paid how much to work every 5th day? I think the thought was that maybe he would have had a really good outing tonight and the Cubs could have potentially flipped him. That obviously will not be the case."A smart monkey doesn't monkey around with another monkey's monkey" - Darwin's Theory0

I agree. That's the kind of win that turns a season around.Gtilley8 said:Feel asleep after Hayward's K in the 7th, I think. Woke up to the crowd signing go cubs go! What a game. We really needed a signature comeback like that. How about Travis Wood? The guy is a ball player!

Not sure about that, but that talk of this kid being like Maddox is proving true, for right now. He's progressing very nicely. This was our #5 at the beginning of the year. Let that sink in.pureoc said:
