Bad call on Baez on that 2-2 pitch. Had a great chance to put up a crooked number ther.
  • Lester you're a fucking major league ball player, learn to make pick off throw.

I love how he just bounces that throw and looks in their dugout. What a terrible display. Dude has to take some pride in fielding a position, and learn how to make a throw other than 60 ft 6 inches.

That throw to first on the bunt was ugly.

I don't give a damn if he rolls it over there... Just win baby
  • Leaving runners on like this gonna bite the Cubs in the ass tonight.

Really needed to get a run after the leadoff double

Leaving all the base runners is going to be an issue. Piss poor at bat by Russell.

Top of the order coming up. Need that run back
  • bflynn1bflynn1 Posts: 1,394
    Gotta get Bryant in here
  • Getting a lot of runners in today, so that's good. Rizzo, Russell and Heyward are looking lost again, so then there's that.

I really thought they'd put 4 or so on Maeda.

Problem is, we're playing idiot, meathead baseball. When we had first and second with no one out, it should've been a bunt. No excuse to not do it there. We needed to score 1 at least. Someone needs to remind Joe this is the national league here.

"Country" Joe Blanton? They ought to knock him around.

What a BRUTAL AB by Heyward.
  • I don't care how good you think heywards defense is, no way he should play the rest of the NLCS. Period.
  • 3 waisted outs but Lester. At least try to lay a bunt down.

If Heyward takes the walk, maybe Russell hits a 3 run HR

Love that hit by Russell. And yes, Heyward...... He's useless at the plate. Absolutely terrible. At this point, I'd take me, speedy, bflynn, and Elvis over any at bat by him.

I think they would've bunted with Russel and pinch hit Contreras for Ross.

Heywards best hit this NLCS was his HBP.
