Wow. People jumping off the the bandwagon real fast. Maybe they're running to a PJ merch line for some cheaper Wrigley stuff, lol. Come on Cubbies, score some runs.

Has anyone gone to Wrigley to confirm if PJ fans are still waiting in the merch lines? Some of the craziest shit I've seen. Went to use the restroom ten songs in and merch lines were at least 75 deep.

No fans, but some players. Rizzo is holding a spot while Arrietta is pregaming with everybody but Baez and Bryant.

I can't believe how touchy these fans are. I guess they look for the first sign of failure after 100 years, but it's only 2-1. Taking all the fun out of rooting against them.

5 hits in 2 games. Once again the Cubs fucking choke in the playoffs. But don't worry, we'll get em next fucking year. Same story, different year. Disappointment.

7 year "ace" deal worked out horribly for the Giants with matt cain....and at the time, I was good with it. to that point, matt had shown no signs of breaking down. Giants got one more decent year for $126M.

lackey still joe's pick for tonight?

I guess it is choking, but this is baseball. Bats go cold in the playoffs every year. Think the Yankees in the 2000's. Now, going scoreless in two games in a row isn't cold but frozen.

Agreed. I think it will be evident pretty early on if this team has the "we don't quit" attitude they tell us they have or if they've rolled over and died. Btw, that at bat by jhey last night was the most pathetic at bat I've seen in the 30+ yrs I've watched baseball.

  • Cubs should be fine. They only had the hiccup in late June and part of July this year as far as losses. They're too good to not snap out of this. I think they'll win tonight.

If not? Epic Choke! Epic I say!

We're taking way too many pitches right down the middle. Heyward's at bat, while entirely pathetic, was a microcosm of the series so far. We needed to ambush those first pitch fastballs last night but just watched them. We really need to put zobrist in the 6/7, Bryant at 3, and Baez in the 2. Also need to start Contreras.

And dare I say it but Roberts is outmanaging the living daylights out of Maddon.

So our team playoff batting average is going to be better? Awesome! Heyward has 19 AB this postseason with 2 hits. Pathetic, right? Rizzo and Russell have a combined 50 AB this postseason with a combined 3 hits. Fowler is hitting a meager .179 in the postseason and has 5 hits...the same number of hits as our starting 1B, SS and RF combined. It isn't good. If these were stats against Bumgarner and Kershaw only, then fine, but this is all postseason (7 games).

Lackey has a pretty good track record in big games. If the Cubs can scratch out 3 runs or more they'll win.
