watching Mexico vs Costa Rica - what a wild game, no score, second half just started, Mexico just can't seem to get their act together

There might be a riot at Azteca if Mexico doesn't score some goals.

    no problem.

so far not too bad for USA

very odd, the coaches for Panama are twin brothers!! thought I was seeing double.

I am glad Ian Darke is calling the game, he is my favorite soccer broadcaster.

Great half. Should have had a pk. Sweet goal though. Bradley is a stud. Ian darke says things that make no sense to me. What the hell does seeing sixes and sevens mean?

Great run & second goal from Eddie Johnson.
The term "sixes and sevens" is an old phrase meaning disoriented or confused.

So far we have played a surprising solid game tonight, I've been impressed with their play. I just hope they can keep it up for the last few minutes without getting lazy. So yeah it has been a good game.

They held on for the win! That gives us a total of 10 points, and puts us up top of our group.

Yep. Very good game all around. It's so weird to watch a game where the US controlled the tempo and possession for a majority of the game. Also, what a crowd in Seattle. That city is soccer crazy. US should play all of their home games there.

Anyone following the COnfederations Cup from Brazil?

    yesterday, Brazil defeated Japan.

Watching Spain hand Uruguay their asses right now. It's almost unfair.

I've watched the first three matches. That Spain Uruguay game was brutal, Spain dominated that game like they were playing against a bunch of kids. The Italy Mexico game was pretty good, Balotelli is such an idiot for getting yellow carded for taking off his jersey after scoring. One more yellow and he is suspended for a game, which he didn't know until after the game. :fp:

USA vs Honduras from Salt Lake City. Should be a good match.

Australia and Iran qualified for the finals today.

4 games in a row w/ a goal for Altidore. So huge to get all 9 points out of these last 3 matches.

They looked fantastic the last 30 minutes. I am dieing to see Donovan and Bradley in the middle together.

I feel like the US finally has a squad with some depth. The game last week they did fine without Jones, last night they did ok without Beasley. And they are doing fine without Donovan. I think Klinsman is doing a decent job at challenging them all and getting them ready for games. All these "new" guys are doing great, I am still learning their names!

Agreed. What a difference a month can make. Dramatic improvement everywhere. Defense is still a little shaky bit getting better. That should be the last time they play in Utah. Damn sober Mormons were quiet as hell. Dempsey was even yelling at them to get off tbeir hands.

I predict 8-0 to Spain with them having over 80% possession

2 players with a hat trick, there needs to be a mercy rule for this game.
