Awful first game for the USA. After going up 1-0 on the road like that, you gotta walk away with at least 1 point. Very interesting lineup that Klinnsman put out there. No Bocanegra was a risk that looks like it didn't pay off.

I can't believe both teams talked the ref out of calling the game in the 54th minute. I can understand the U.S. not wanting to stop being up, but the Costa Rica team didn't want to stop the game either. The conditions are brutal.

this is awesome. there has to be 2, 3, 4 inches of snow on the field, groundskeepers are running out and shoveling off the lines when they can. it's hard to see the ball.

HUGE 3 points last night. I'm shocked that they let them keep playing. Especially in the 2nd half...that was crazy. Prob not the best idea to schedule a game in Denver in March :fp:
Never saw anything like that last night. I have played in snow but not with it collecting by the inch on the field. Pretty crazy, every time there was any shot on goal it was hold your breath time. Glad we won though. Needed those points
